Soccer Tryouts

Today was the first day of soccer tryouts, it SUCKED. First we had a session from 8-10 a.m. That session wasnt that bad we just did this little fitness test, but it wasnt that bad at all. Then we had a session from 3-5, this sucked. First, a few kids left some bottles and trash on the ground, so we had "consequences" for that. For this we did 6 inches for a while, then push up things, but harder. Then after that we had to do this Swedish running drill, we did 6 sets of that, not even gunna try to explain it, this took about 35-40 min, then we played for the last little bit. And at the end we finished with a full field suicide. Tomorrow and on Wednesday the first session is from 7-9 a.m.

Anyways, who else has tryouts for what and when are/were they?

Ahhh....the Swedish running dril...

I didn't have any soccer tryouts because I quit after my junior year in high-school since I started playing at the age of 4.

Yeah, Im probly gunna quit next year, I'm a sophmore now. I probably would quit this year but m parents have already payed for club soccer, which there would be no point to if I wasnt gunna play the next year, they also payed for a conditioning program that I did and a soccer camp, so I wasn't gunna bail after they had put that much money for me to do well. The reason that I play soccer is to have fun, but last year and now it has gotten too competitive and I'm not having nearly as much fun. Another factor is that I want to play more paintball, and even if I can find a day that I can play, I dont have money, so I cant get a job. Best case scenario would actually be that I get cut this year, and I can get a job and make some moneyand play some more paintball before club soccer starts.

ppsshh, who gets sut from teams? be a soccer stud superstar extrodanair like me and you dont even have to try at practice. last year i was a junior and basicly did what i wanted, only freshmen and sophmores have to try really hard to impress the coaches.

this year i dont think im playing becasue even after taking summer school, my grades arent up to par, so i guess ill be gettin a job and ill have time to get eagle scout, and i guess thats good because both of those = lots of $ which = more guns which = more fun

i suppose now ill have time for a girlfriend, or at least come up with some other excuse as to why i dont date the girls i get with

one thing that suck tho is that this year were having 2 pro players be assistant coaches for the team, one is the record holder for the most goals in a season in the B teams, and the other has played for DC united, chicago fire and might be going to play in europe next year. ive met both of them and their really cool guys

lets see we have to run 2 miles in 12 mins, and the first week of soccer we don't even touch a ball, its all fitness, and we go on long road runs and all the freshman have to swim in the duck pond

we take freshmen on "cross country" runs, but we just go into the woods and duct tape em all together in a big circle, we use about 3 rools, then make em shuffle back to the field in front of the field hockey players. its pretty funny when one person trips, becasue when one person trips, they all fall down.

but its cool, we all go buy em a slurpee or sumthin after practice
