I used to skate back in the day, ollieing is hard to learn, but once you got it, it's easy.

Place your back foot on the end of the board, and put your front foot in the middle. What you want to do is kick down hard on the back of the board so the front goes up, and then slide your front foot foward as hard as you can.

So, kcik down, jump and as you jump push your front foot foward hard to level out the board. Practice alot, it takes time

All these guns are gone. One by thief, two by fire. The memories persist.

Practice....alot....skating takes commitment, and if you have any friends that skate, they can help alot too. You'll want to be your back foot on the tail, then put your fron foot a little behind the screws at the nose. Pop your back foot and slide your front foot foreward. Lean forward. Practice.

With both feet on the board, lift up the heel of your back foot so that your weight is on the ball of your foot and your toes. That part of your foot should be centered at the tip of the tail. Your front foot should be 2/3's of the way up the board, angled slightly forward. Your toes should be near the toe edge of the board and depending on the shoe size your heel, may be hanging off the heel edge. Smack the tail to the ground with your back foot and jump off of the back foot. Getting the timing down is probably the hardest part. As you jump, your front foot slides up to you nose, pulling the board into the air. At the peak of your ollie, level out you board, then wait for the landing. Always land with your knees bent. When ollie-ing a gap, try not to think about clearing it; instead think about popping a nice big ollie. The hardest part about ollie-ing most gaps is getting the committed mindset. When you are in the air, spot your landing and keep the shoes on that grip tape until you roll away.

its easy once u get the hang of it. All you have to do is place your right foot on the back and your left foot in the middle kinda if u are regular. If you are goofy place you left foot in back and right foot in the middle. Then onc you have done this push down as hard as u can on your back foot and move your front foot up at the same time. It is going to take practice but thats the basic idea. It took me about a week to get it down pat but after a month or so i could ollie off sets and ledges. Just practice, practice, practice. And dont try to ollie off anything until you are comfortable and pretty good at it first. Dont be afriad to land.

Do what everyone said and dont give up... it might take a while but its worth it. I used to skate, the hardest thing for me to learn to ollie was the timing.

wow perfect thread for me. Aright so put your back foot on your tail and put your the space between the ball of your two and your big toe put it right on the middle of the tail. Then scoot your foot back a bit til your shoe is just touching the edge of the tail. Now put your front foot a foots width from the middle of the board, and have it so the area between your pinky toe and the side of your foot is in the middle of the board (if split lengthwise). Now crouch til you have your butt at knee height. Here comes the fun part. With all your strength slam your tail down and push forward a bit with your front foot while trying to touch your knees to your chest. The harder you hit your foot back foot and the higher you suck your feet up will determine how high you ollie.
