Two of our students in major wrecks within a month...

abouit a month ago one of our students(HS) was speeding(doin about 90), racing a friend down a curvy road in his convertible mustang. he slid into the oncoming lane and hit a minivan. he was killed.

yesterday. a friend of mine who drives an 86 pontiac fiero was in a wreck not long after school let out. not sure yet what happened, but he is currently in critical condition. his hip is broken, they've had to remove his spleen, and he may be paralized. like i said, i don't know waht happened to him, and i don't know that it was even his fault, he didn't tend to be a crazy teenage driver. but none the less, he was in a major wreck.

just a reminder guys. be careful out there, even if you don't drive 90 down a bad road, you can still be hurt or even killed out on the roads.

one of my friends was killed at the end of august, he just hit a bump in the road, went into to ditch, and hit a tree. Like he said, be careful!!

update on what happened: guy was pulling out from the road to the school onto a low traffic 4 lane devided. when he took off the rear end broke loose in his fiero, sending him sliding sideways. a large work type van then slammed into his driver door as he was going semi-sideways. the 60+ mph hit sent his small car flying, parts going many feet into the air. the other passenger in the car got out lucky, he only had minor facial lacerations. be careful out there guys.

a while back we had a student at another hs speeding down a road. when the road ended in a T intersection he couldn't stop...what do you expect at 120+ mph. he's a veggie now. still livin, and lucky to be so, but he might as well be dead...

that really sucks man

you just have to be careful. A lot of people dont realize that just because you are surrounded by a ton or more of metal and that there are airbags, that doesnt mean you are invincible

..

the reality of not being invincible is what really shook up some people when that first guy died.
