Anybody been in an acident?

Not to long ago me and my mom were in the car driving to get the sushi that we have every friday night. We pull up to a red light and stop. The light turns green and we start going again straight. A car to our left that was going straight hit us in the side. Some people say it happens so fast you don't realise it but it doesn't. It happens so slow that time seems to crawl. I looked to my left talking to my mom and what I saw was terrifying. A big white car heading right to us. I gasped and my mom looked. We got hit and we spinned into the stoplight pole. The air bag didn't go off because we weren't going fast enough (think its like 35 or 45 mph) and my head is just about permately bruised and had some internal bleeding that surgery fixed. My mom's right knee is screwed up and she is in pain most of the time. Now whenever I here those OnStar commericals on the radio or something I start to cry because I know what it feels like. Its terrifying seeing a car come at you and you think your dead for a second.

The other people were alright and had no injuries

I would of posted this long ago but I rarely talk about being in the accident.

Anybody else been in an accident?

PS: (Pictures of my moms car and their car are coming soon as my mom charges the battery on her cam so I dont get called for shens)

I dont know it was just wierd.. When I saw we were going to get hit and when we were hit and we were spinning, my mind kept thinking about all this stuff. It was just wierd and seemed to take forever untill I was out of the car and on a stretcher.

the airbag didnt go off cuz u didnt have a head on collision lol.

airbags have sensors in the front of the car not the side (unless of course u have side airbags).

and i kno people who have had lil fender benders in traffic and they hit the car infront of them only goin like 15 mph and the airbag has gone off.

really sucks cuz u gotta put down extra cash to get the airbag replaced aparently.

ya the front airbags only have sensors on the front.

and like i said before...they will deploy even if u hit sumthing head on not goin to fast.

i remeber one guy on the JV baseball team wit me had a accident...he wasnt watching the car infront of him and he hit the car goin like 15 mph.

he got out and the only injury he had was a massive mark on his arm from where the airbag deployed...it like smacked his arm against the door lol

I was in one with my friend who had a pimped out ricer with ground efects and rims. He was trying to race this guy, and it was raining. There was one of the turns right where it's at an intersection but it goes off a little exit thing, well he went way too fast into it and slid right over the curb. I saw the front part of the ground effects go flying out in front of us, and we skidded on the ground for a few feet. It was really freaky. Getting out of the car we say that the spokes on the front two tires had completely been broken. His car was messed up from something a normal car probably would've just had a little tire damage from.

Its okay to drive in a car. Accidents happen, and thats all it is. You should try to get over your fear. After all, everyhting in the room your in right now could potentially be dangerous. However, I do understand the mental trauma it is to be in a car accident. In a few months, you'll think back and remember this only as somethign that happened in the past.

The ebst of luck to you, and I hope your mom gets better.

Holy ****, I just decided to read this thread. My friend lives over off Manchester... he said it took him about 2 hours to get home from school. That really sucks, I hope you're alright. That's really wild.

me and a friend were in raleigh, nc, in his jeep rubicon. we were going down a windy road, and a car came at us driving halfway in our lane. So, my friend went into the ditch, and then over-corrected himself on the way up, so he went back down, the front left wheel caught the ditch, and we rolled the jeep. a 2004 $30,000 fully loaded rubicon was gone. so we were hanging upside down, and the airbag cathing points were all missed by about a foot, and if they had deployed, and we were uside down, it would have snapped out necks. yeah....

All these guns are gone. One by thief, two by fire. The memories persist.
