Yakuza'd Black Vice

My pride and joy this is the 2nd of my 2 Vices...This one has the Yakuza OLED board-4C Eye System-LP Valve-and now a Power Kodachi Trigger. In scenario play I wear a specops recon vest that carries 4x140 rnd pods, and a Sprint pack thats a 4x3 140 rnd pods. That is 11 pods and hopper off a 68/45 fill, and the marker is still breaking in.Pulse Loader and RF chip works fine together, going to try out a Magna w chip to help feed this beast.

I've been curious about these. Have you shoot an 06 timmy before? If so how does it compare?

9/10 for the 4 eye system. Sweetness.

Yes I have 4 gen 4 Timmys, each black (go figure lol)There is no comparison between the Gen 4 and Gen5's.Efficiency difference, lighter, quieter, smoother.I've been a Timmy Fan for years, and have to say these Gen 5's are going to be the rage out in the fields this year.Very little maintance required, one can shoot 10 cases of paint before ever thinking about cleaning, and a good lube job.Remember the harness mess and the choir it is just to swap out the battery in other generations? No longer an issue.A Vice comes stock with what many call upgrades in the other platforms, such as the pillow bolt, new designed LPR and HPR,comes stock with a lever clamp feed, and the list goes on,and that comes stock with the Vice. You also get a sick milling job, making this a very light, and thin marker. With a proper tune, you end up with little to no kick, and a soft sound signature. The stock trigger in the Vice is sweet, but I opted to go with a Power Kodachi trigger,as the micro switch in the Yakuza board is around 85 grams,so the lighter dual bearing Kodachi just makes a perfect feel,at least for my needs. The 4C eye system IMO is what sets this beast up.In pure semi mode, and your laying down a string of paint, you'll notice that there is no gaps between balls in flight, meaning more CONSISTANT strings,so that extra couple balls consistancy makes a big difference towards players going to another bunker and ducking under your paint.I also opted for the new LP valve, this also gives you an even softer shot signature, but coupled with the pillow bolt, and reduced LPR settings, allows you to shoot the most brittle paint out there.I will always love my gen3's and 4's,but these new gen5's is just the advantage players crave for these days, small, light, and tight.

Clean looking vice, easily a 9.0 but will change to 9.5 if you get some black macro fittings.

Yakuza worth it... This is user defined.I like the fact I dont have to remove a grip to make a change, and know that setting is what I wanted, thanks to the OLED display. There are a few more features for those that really want more control over how their marker is setup. The M8 board will do about everything as the Yakuza does, but the enhanced 4c eye portion on the Yakuza is nice. Now people wonder why someone would pay $170 bucks for a board, when as the new PSP rules are in effect, and cant be used in most applications. As stated earlier,if you really want to tinker, and refine your marker tune, this is the board for those.Plus Stinger paintball throws in a nice set of flat panel grips with each board. Some like the board, others say it's not worth the extra money, over the M8 stock board.I've got 2 Vices and a Protege, and each has a yakuza, and the 4 c eyes.

Well again the choice is up to each user. I like the Yakuza + Pulse w/rf chip myself, and have concidered a vlocity. But as I stated, the new rules thats in effect for 2008 if you play alot of tournament ball that is,it wouldnt really matter all that much as all things concidered. Now if you also play at some fields, that allows those ungodly ramp modes,(not full auto) then you will have the work ahead of you, trying to find a SMOOTH loading CONSISTANT loader, just to feed your marker. This is why I mentioned trying a vlocity,as my Halo B V35 wont even begine to handle some of the ramp modes I can configure with the Yakuza, the Pulse does ok within reason and thats with the rf chip and everything in sync, but as the paint gets low in the loader, then different ball pressures happen, and you dont get that good consistant loading. The Yakuza does have a setting to allow you to adjust for this "breech bounce",but it's not a cure all by any means. Now dont take what I'm about to say as a cut,it's not directed towards anyone in this forum. For the people that think these race games meaning.."my marker can do 30+ bps EASY" and it's something just to show off,or get people to take a look.Honestly what use is it? eating a case of paint in a few short mins...maybe shooting out 3 or 4 players with that case!It does however look impressive, but with the raising cost in everything these days,my money would be to stay on the field and play as long as I can,and get my monies worth. This probably didnt answer your question that you asked, but it should have raised a few points for you to concider when your thinking of buying upgrades. The question is "will this really help me and my play for the money?"

Well if you want to gain alot of control over your marker, then you couldnt go wrong with any Tadao board. The Yakuza is $170 smackers, but it's also alot of board.I dont think in my opinion, there is anyone better than Will at Tadao,to write some of the best code for their products. There are people that will argue with you about how they cant see any difference between the stock board (which is Tadao as well) and the Yakuza. You said smooth and consistant...without question, go yakuza.(your 4 c eye system will thank you for it)

Been messing around with my setup,as I was wanting to change my balance point, and also try out another new Trigger.Added to my main setup I switched from the Freak Barrel kit,and went with a SLY Pro Barrel kit,and swapped out the Power Kodachi Trigger, and went with the new Violent trigger. This did change to a better balanced feel in my hand, and the Violent trigger gave me that feel I was looking for.SLY kit makes it even more quiet now,and at the break,it's much more accurate at the longer ranges. The 4C eyes in semi mode are awesome,no more gaps between balls.
