So, you are new or new ish to the sport, got your first set of gear and that's all you need right? Wrong, go to the field without some basics and something as simple as a loose screw could end your day early.
So here are some things you will need whether you are starting out our more experienced in the sport
Stage 1, starting out in the sport:
Things in the bag:
1 set of SAE Allen keys
1 set of metric Allen keys
Paintball oil
Paintball lube (dow 33)
Tank o rings (size 015)
Teflon sealant tape (plumber's tape)
Duct tape
Pliers
Philips screwdriver
Slotted screwdriver
Batteries
Why these items are chosen
1 set of SAE Allen keys
1 set of metric Allen keys
Many times your marker will come with a set of Allen keys but these are often specific to the marker and will not include all sizes. Having all sizes is important because if you do something like put aftermarket parts on your marker it may not have the same sizes or may need metric when your marker is SAE. I have markers that have both SAE and metric screws on them. One note on SAE Allen keys, try to find a set that has the .050 size (very small), chances are you will not need it for a while but later on if you keep playing paintball it will come into play
Paintball oil
Paintball lube (dow 33)
Starting out you typically will not need both of these but it depends on what marker you have as to if it will need oil or lube, if you are in question, just make a post and ask
Tank o rings (size 015)
Most common o ring in paintball, used on tanks and typically in most markers. Some markers such as the azodin kaos ONLY use 015o rings for every seal in the marker. Have a handful of tank o rings? You now have a rebuild kit
Teflon sealant tape (plumber's tape)
Always useful for seals such as your braided hose going into the marker or macro fittings
Duct tape
Fixes everything and patches holes in your jeans when a slide goes wrong
Pliers
Got to get those little parts somehow
Philips screwdriver
Slotted screwdriver
In today's market screws are more common on hoppers than markers but if you have a stacked tube blow back (Spyder or clone) the valve is almost always held in by a slotted brass screw.
Batteries
I don't care if you put a new one in last night, always carry spares (assuming your marker or hopper uses them)
