Etek 3 LT

I just purchased a used Etek 3 LT for myself and have yet to receive it so I haven't shot it yet and don't know how good the stock barrel is. With that said, how good is the stock barrel? WHat are some good choices for barrel upgrades? I couldn't find any info on the barrel threading for this gun.

Efficiency isn't all that important to me. The field where I play has plenty of fill stations and while I never need it, I almost always fill up between each game. Just me being anal even though the tank would probably last me the whole day if I let it. Thanks for the help.

I finally received the marker and it's in great shape and everything seems brand new except for the case. I shot it a few times, but have yet to play with it. Are there any upgrades recommended for it (I have the LT) or are they best used stock? Can't wait to go out and give it a shot playing.

This is my first electronic marker after coming from a 98 Custom so the the different modes as well as setting them are comopletely new to me. I plan on using the marker mostly on semi auto since it's what I have used in the past with my 98C and because it's the simplest, but what do the other modes/settings do? What is the most useful of them for an increased rof? Nothing ridiculous, but enough to lay down more than would normally be possible in semi auto.

then set it to semi uncapped (15.4 just due to the limitations of the solenoid) and away you go

etek 3 can do plenty more than 15.4, doesnt make it useful but it can

i wouldnt worry about upgrading the marker, id say look into a mask/hopper/tank gear bag pants, pack pods etc whatever you need

What is the difference between semi uncapped and regular semi auto? For that matter what do each of the modes do and how do their settings affect them? If this info is located elsewhere here I apologize, I'm just trying to get the most usefullness and fun out of the gun. Thanks.

15.4 bps is more than I need. I was just hoping for something that could help me shoot quicker than my slow fingers normally do and maybe a small explanation of what the modes were so I could start learning how to mess with them. I wouldn't want to change anything with them now because I have no idea what they do or how the settings affect them.

whatever you set the cap at, but i have one, it doesnt cap out at 15.4

while you can set it up for ramping id just work on your fingers on the trigger

they're right but if you're like me and want the best, you can get a new barrel. i got a deathstix and i like it. there are plenty of things you can upgrade if you want. i have the hush bolt and zick-2 (which i love). you can also get laser eyes, a new board, the AM frame. how far do you want to go

and i would definitely recommend setting the ramping mode on as it comes with simi (if i remember correctly)

ramping is for people who feel they cant keep up with everyone else on the field with their fingers alone

its also for being a dick and bonus balling the kids with rentals that have a mechanical single trigger

real players dont need ramping

The ramping would be just for fun to see how it is to shoot that fast. I don't shoot nearly that much in a game. I plan on keeping the stock barrel and board. I don't see any need to upgrade to the AM parts or the Emortal board as I'll be playing in semi auto all the time anyway. Upgrading the bolt and rammer are possibilities depending on if they make much of a difference or not. I'm still researching that. I would like a drop forward though. I had one on my 98C and it was great. Etek has the weird mount though so don't know if anyone makes them. Otherwise it will stay pretty much as is. I'm going in 2 weeks to play so I'll let you know how my first time with it went. Unfortunately I don't get much time to play and with New York weather I might not be playing at all soon for a while.

haha it isn't a wierd mount, it's the PE standard t-slot. trbo's been trying to work on a drop forward for that for a while now. nobody makes them because nobody (company wise) is expecting people to want to drop forward on the "high end" tourney guns

its not a weird mount but it is a slap in the face to the player, now instead of going out and buying a dovetail mount or 2 hole that are universally used you have to go buy a mount from PE

and yes, im still working on it, ran into some difficulties when my welder would not feed aluminum wire

I was looking at board upgrades for the ETek and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts between the Emortal board and the APE boards. I know the emortal board would require the AM conversion kit which I wouldn't want to have to buy, but which of the 2 is better without considering that?

That's funny because I'm actually color blind. Otherwise, while after having learned somewhat how to program it, I would still need the manual with me to program the board and I don't think it's that intuitive. I haven't done much trying to program the board, but that may be because it's somewhat of a pain. With a better board I might be more likely to use the features.

APE boards are bought mostly by Mil-sim guys who want their markers to shoot burst and full-auot without having to shoot three times in semi before (such as myself), I bet none of the APE users actually use anything else.

You are color blind miller? So why did you complained about your Angel's color? I remember you telling me that you hated it.
