Help me kick my Etek 4 up a couple notches

I have a new Etek 4 AM. I'm using a dye rotor, and a freak barrel system with the All-American Front to cut down on the noise.

I've had a few small issues,

1. There have been a couple breaks. Should I upgrade to a better bolt? If so, which one?

2. My rotor chewed up some paint yesterday. I took a girl out to play, she was using my gun all day, she said someone loaned her some paint on the field ( ) and when I took the rotor apart it looked like the rotor just blended everything. It may have been the crappy paint, or the harsh stock components. Should I upgrade to the Dye Rotor Soft Cycle?

3. The OLED board, do I really need this? I played with an '08 ego yesterday that had an OLED board and it shot lasers like a dream. It belonged to the field, I'm not sure what the owner did to it but it shot way better than my Etek, and the ego looked like it had been thrown down a mountain.

(sorry I made a new thread when somewhat similar ones were below)

1. No. Ball breaks happen, especially in the winter when it is cold.

2. No. Rotors do this, especially with bad paint, or when it is cold. Turn the tension screw counter-clockwise. Rotors come with that screw cranked in all the way so it acts like a blender. What's wrong with loaning somebody paint on the field? It should be the same stuff that she was already using.

3. You don't need an OLED board. It makes changing setting easierbut doesn't make the gun shoot any better. An EGO does not use an OLED board, by the way; they use and LCD back-lit display.
Your etek 4 should shoot about the same an an 08 ego. If it isn't something is off. Check your board and regulator settings.

1. You can get a better bolt. Don't expect night and day difference, but they can help. biggest thing is they can quiet it down some.

2. You bought a Rotor...live with it. It's the reason I said I hate Rotors. Mine years ago suffered this. My buddies less than a year old suffers this. It's the reason every time we play he moans about how he wishes he'd listened to us about NOT buying a Rotor. I've NEVER had a ball break in my Z2 or my Spire, and the Z2 was used back east when I actually played in real winter temps. Although a few weeks ago it was 34 out and I played all day with the Spire and not a single break or jam...

3. It's convenient, but not necessary. The reason the 08 shot better was probably because it was tuned. You get used to your Etek4, tune it up, and it'll shoot just as nicely as the 08. The Etek4 design was based off the Ego8, so there's NOTHING superior about the 08 to your Etek, just that they've tuned it for best performance.
