Sheridan PGP

I found a guy selling a Sheridan PGP pump pistol, but it needs the piercing pin for the co2 replaced. If I buy the pistol, how would you suggest fixing it?

the hard part is going to be getting the valve out and open to do the swap as the pin and valve are the same part
