Yes they will run on HPA. That said Phantoms like a lot of old school markers were designed to run on CO2 and perform great on CO2.

How do you guys feel while out on the field? Out gunned or do you feel ok?I just got mine today and can't wait to use it. It's stock class with the c02 in the rear. I wanted to go back to that old school feeling of adrenaline and wide eyed feeling. I know I'll get that but its been 13 years or so sense I was on a field. The last games we played were on 5 acres of thick bush and trees. We had usually 3on 3 or 4 on 4. Games would last for hours.
Fun fun fun!! I just don't want to get shot by five gazillion balls at once. where is the fun in that???

Can small bottles be installed on the back of phantoms? I remember smaller bottles than 9 oz. A small one would be sweet.

Yep just remove the 12gram changer and you can screw in a bulk CO2 bottle the ones used on pumps are usually 3.5oz.

I feel outgunned at some fields more than others depending on what I'm playing. In the woods with such a small and light setup you have a tiny profile and without a harness full of paint rattling around there isn't a quieter player on the field. Playing against the milsim newbies with their heavy tactical vests announcing their movements from across the field it's like hunting the world's most stupid animals.

On the speedball field well...the most you can say is that it isn't boring.

Truthfully experience and maturity make up a huge difference. I do great with a pump but give me an electro and I'll do even better. As much as I love the old school gear and style of play I can't deny how amazing the new highend markers are or even the midrange electros like the PMR or Eteks. Even the low end electro markers offer performance that 13 years ago would have cost you over $1000 and still wouldn't have performed as well.
