PMI Trracer Tagmaster Help

So, being a young paintballer (broke) i went on craigslist to save some money by switching to pump. I like the good old guns too, so i thought i scored by finding a trracer tagmaster for $25! (the tagmaster is the later version of the trracer, but just undercocking arms)

So, i take this in my back yard and it shoots ok... i have to pull the pump handle forward (is that normal?) and then after a couple shots, the pump handle freezes and wont move.

I don't mind dropping a little cash to fix this, and if there are any good upgrades lemme know

Thank you!!!!!

To pump it properly you have to pull the pump handle all the way back and then all the way forward that's normal. To fix the freezing problem try taking it completely apart cleaning everything until it sparkles and then adding a light amount of oil. There isn't much to those old pumps and if it isn't leaking you can usually fix it with oil.

Thank you for the help, but I tried that... I still don't have any idea what it is. I did take it out today. Its shooting 280-290 fps and works fine at the chrono, but when i get onto the field it freezes.

What do you mean by freezing? It might be that the orings have swollen and are causing it to bind up and they'll need to be replaced.

By "freezing" I meant after a while, I would pump it back... and it would get stuck. The trigger doesn't budge much (like a mechanical marker on safe) and the handle will not move.

I have searched the o-rings and they look pretty good, but I'm going to replace them just in case. Thanks!
