So yea I played with my VSC phantom for the first time not too long ago, I was moderatly impressed, but I was kinda dissapointed with the range I guess. Anything I can/should do?

Hmm... I guess so, I was chronoed at like 290. I think I'll just have to get closer to be effective. It's hard to get used to when you don't have 200 balls to throw. I found I did way better then the semi's when I was up close and personal.

It's always nice to see someone trying out pump play. It is a bit more difficult at first but after several days it'll probably grow on you. Good luck to ya.

I play with a modified stock class SL-68 II. The best velocity I get is like 200. I have to get in their face to shoot at them.

Hmm Alpha 200 sonds low... Is it the 12g that cant suply the CO2 fast enough (flow) or whats the problem. A SL-68 can shoot at velocities faster then balls can handle on C/A.

I'm using 12 grams. I believe its a spring somewhere that needs replacing.

How large is the pin hole in the used 12 grams? If the piercer is worn down you might not be getting enough flow through the hole. It does sound more like the main spring though.
