Rate my DM9? :]

Virtue board is the only upgrade for now and a CP on off . Ironmen Trigger coming soon <3. I was thinking about getting the bolt polished but I don't want to deal with maintaining it and later have to do it again.

I really like it though I've never played with one. How much does a stock DM9 go for now? I know the DM10s are on sale for like $850.

Oh ok. I'm trying to figure out what to get for my next marker so I can save up for it. How do you like it? Would you get this or the Alias Intimidator? Are there any problems with the DM series?

I don't see any problems except that it could be more efficient. I'd take a DM over a Timmy though. It's a matter of preference. I love mine though.

Oh ok. I really like it, but it doesn't seem to have that many serious upgrades other than the board. What's the benefit of the Virtue board over the DM9's stock board?

IMO it doesn't need upgrades and there aren't that many upgrades for high ends anyway. There is the BWing bolt, but it's just a bolt that's polished anodized red, and has a soft tip that I believe can now be bought. The trigger is preference, I'm getting an Ironmen trigger for it. There are also aftermarket bolts but most are not that reliable. The board makes it easier to program, adds more adjustability, more firing modes (don't really use them though) and is backed by lifetime warranty. If PSP comes up with a different BPS that isn't on the stock board then you have to deal with it. A different board you can either plug into the computer or send it in to get it flashed.

Oh alright. What is your favorite marker that you own? I'm surprised that no one else has commented yet.

Thanks for the info! Trbo likes his too so if I could find one for a good price, would you recommend it over anything else close to it's price range?

I find it interesting how everyone I have talked to about a marker in the $400-$500 price range has different opinions. tlmiller likes the Quests, the guy at my local shop swears by the 2010 PMR, and then Willie from techpb says to go with the Etek 3. So...what's your opinion?

400-500 I'd say DM8

All 3 are nice markers. PMR is a modern, simply, unbalanced spool. Not very good efficiency, but smooth, and fairly light.
Etek3 is a light, fast, efficient, pretty smooth poppet. Probably the best marker to ever come from Planet Eclipse IMO. The redesigned noid housing makes for a huge impact on the marker from the Etek1 & Etek2 (same noid, just redesigned housing).
The Quest is extremely simple for a spool valve, very efficient for a spool valve, and has the best stock trigger I've ever used IMO. Not as light as the PMR or Etek3, but not all that heavy.

And there's plenty other markers in that price range too.

I'd DEFINITELY disagree. DM8 is dead technology. PM8 is lighter, more efficient, the bolt for that is still used in the DM9/10/11, IMO it's much better looking. Generally goes for a bit less than the DM8, but is IMO by far a superior platform.

That's true on the PM8, but I don't like how the PM8 looks.

Heheh, seems people are widely divided on that. I personally think it's the nicest looking Matrix ever, by far preferring it to even the newer DM's. I've known VERY few people who are in the middle, most either think it's by far the best looking Matrix, or like you, dislike it completely.

I don't dislike it COMPLETELY. It's that gab in front of it I don't like. It's still pretty nice and I wouldn't mind having one :P

I'm going to have to say that my favorite looking Matrix is the gun above in the first post ^^^^^^

Sorry SquareDorito, I didn't have any intentions of hi-jacking your thread. So...you suggest the PM8, Tlmiller?
