Dye DM7 and Etek 3 (Coming Friday)

Hai. Thought I'd go ahead and throw up my pictures to let everybody know what marker I'm talking about in my other threads etc. This is a Dye DM7 with a CP On/Off and Reg, Orange Bolt, and Anno'd by Contract Killer when they used to still do it. I ordered an Etek 3 LT White/Black which should be here Friday I will post pics on here when I get it. Enjoy.

Anno isn't my style but it's still pretty sick. Have fun with the Etek!

I didn't like it at first when I bought the gun but I've grown to like it. And thanks we shall see how it performs this weekend.

4/10 on the DM, not too much aftermarket but id change out the grips for something that would match the rest of it

1/10 on the etek, all stock

Speaking of grips do you know what grips would fit? ANS has like 1000 grips but I wasn't sure which ones would fit the UL frame.

Yeah not feelin the acrylic. Might get that black ECK grip. For now I'm gonna have to work a few weeks until I get more money seeing as I'm still using an Empire Magna Drive Greatest hopper for $44.95. I'm waiting for that new Prophecy w/ the hard plastic to come out. If that doesn't come out within a month or two I'm just gonna get a rotor.

Alrighty. If I get the money before it comes out I'm getting a rotor anyways but if it does come out I'll check it out at the field.

Rotor is a much better hopper than the Empire. Get some matching grips on that DM, a better bolt that doesn't break in half, and I'll give you a better score. As for my score... I'll give it a 5/10. Check out the TADAO OLED Board. My friend has it on her gun, and the grips look sick!

Yeah, the Orange Bolt snapped. I've had this happen to me twice, although the other bolt was a Critical in my Quest (yes I know this is weird, but I really do take good care of my guns, and lube them up properly after each outing...).

I'v tried the Empire, the Rotor, and the Ponikio. I chose the Rotor for several reasons over the other two. One, being that it feeds faster (although no gun can keep up with it anyway...). Two, it is MUCH easier to take apart and clean/unjam. Three, I felt that it was a little softer on paint, and I bought the Virtue soft cycle arm. Four, it has a smaller/sleeker profile, that IMO is both more tactical, and looks better. And finally, everyone has one, so I had to get one! lol

I know people are going to pipe in their own opinions, and I am interested to hear them.

Looks nice! Get a Virtue board and new grips and you got yourself a winner with the DM! As for the Etek, I've seen better and I've seen worse.

iv never really understood why the need for a virtue board in the rotor, its so simple as is its essentially a on/off switch attached to a motor and you can adjust the pressure its putting on the paint already

I think he was referring to the DM. I have the Virtue Rotor Soft Cycle Arm. Virtue Rotor Soft Cycle Arm I broke a few balls with the stock one, so I decided to try this one out, and problem solved

o just the arm! i see, but still i dont know why people feel the need to upgrade the drive in the rotor, theres people who put a few 9vs in it to ramp it up to somewhere around 70bps....why!?!?

Totally. It's completely useless. There is no reason to get up to 70bps... But then again, 20 years ago, they thought that there was no reason to have a 200rnd hopper, and anything over 10bps was just crazy!

If people are shooting 70 bps in 10 years then we might as well all start playing lazer tag.

honestly i think the bps wars are finally over, with there being no practical use for anything over 15 people are finally seeing that its just wasting paint

I've started to play on capped semi just so I don't waste paint. Honestly the concept of PSP ramping is alright but if you think about it sometimes you just wanna put a couple balls at the target because it's a really hard shot and then all of a sudden you'd be ramping blowing paint out of your barrel like nothing. I feel more like a paintball player when I play semi.
