Tippmann 98 Twins

I am a huge fan of paintball, I have been playing for 15 years or so. I am a big fan of low to middle end guns as I do not see the need to drop stupid amounts of money into a gun when I can spend less upfront and upgrade as time goes by (plus i'm married =P). I have 5 guns currently but will only post details on my babies (twin Tippmann 98's that I have owned for 10 years). I don't have pictures at this exact moment, but i will post them soon I promise.

Gun #1
Tippmann 98 Custom w/ Response Trigger, Cyclone Feed w/ Low Profile Hopper, Aluminum Power Tube, Star-fire Bolt, Maddogg Spring Kit, Aluminum Fore-grip, Double Trigger System, 16' Rifled Barrel, Collapsible Butt Stock, Baby Blue w/ Metal Flake Paint job.

Gun #2
Tippmann 98 Custom w/ Response Trigger, Cyclone Feed, Aluminum Power Tube, Star-fire Bolt, Maddogg Spring Kit, Aluminum Fore-grip, Double Trigger System, 14' Rifled Barrel, Gold w/ Black Tiger Stripe Paint job.

Upcoming Parts/Upgrades: TechT Paintball Cyclone Feed Upgrade System for Both, Debating on Low Pressure kit for Both.

Other gear that I currently have: BT Combat w/ Delta MP5 Package, BT Combat w/ custom Body kit, Dangerous Power E1.

Other gear that I have owned since starting: Brass Eagle Talon (first gun I ever owned), Brass Eagle Talon Ghost(first gun I ever purchased on my own), JT Usa Raptor, Brass Eagle Samurai, Brass Eagle Eradicator, VL Hi-Voltage, Spyder E-99, Spyder Shutter, Spyder Imagine.

Guns I plan to own: WGP Synergy Equalizer, GOG eXTCy, Azodin Zenith, Invert Mini, Spyder Electra, Dangerous Power G4, Proto Rail (I may not get them all, but they are the ones I am looking at for future purchasing)

uhmm... I dont know whats going on. Is this some fashion statement or something?

For sure I will not let you paint my car, lol! JK I like the blue one, the yellow w/ stripes, hell no, pass on that one. You asked so I gave you my opinion. Would have liked the yellow to be more of a tan with black, moving toward a more safari look. Man, but that canary color is unique for sure.

Those you have owned before, the VL High Voltage is not a bad gun for the price. I have shot that one, very nice 3 shot burst mode. The Imagine has more settings to choose from. Dont know about the one you had, but mine when it is running out of batteries will only shoot on Low fire rate mode, no matter how many times I change it back to High rate. A unique feature to give you a heads up, or make it through the day. ON your next to list, should try the ION, I know is discontinued, and a heavy, but is one sweet gun to shoot, smooth and predictable.

dang, nice work, been a while since iv seen anyone do anything halfway decent to a blowback

id skip on the LP kits, they hurt performance the vast majority of the time, cause the markers to be more temperamental and just are not worth the money

appearance 9/10, they look great

performance 7/10 lots to help it, a few things that hurt it

Bwahahahaha, sorry bout that, the carpet and direct lighting don't do the color justice...Unfortunately I do not have nor run a professional photo shop. The gun is actually Gold w/ metal flakes....not canary yellow, I would never in my life consider painting anything I would ever own that color...just saying. =D And actually my to own list has changed since, I bought a Mokal Aura 2011 instead of anything on my list. I still want the Synergy, I'm on the fence about the eXCTy, I don't want the Azodin any more, played with one and its just like the spyder, speaking of, played with an electra too. Decent gun, but for being in the same price range as my E1, it and the Azodin had way more problems on the field, Dangerous Power was def the better choice there. I also recently got immersed in the world of Mini's...those things are junk, garbage markers...IMO of course, which is why I bought the Mokal. If someone were to ask me what I thought of the mini I would say, buy a Dangerous Powers G4, its bigger, slightly heavier, but has less problems out of the box and is more accurate and better looking. If you want a smaller gun, buy the E1 and upgrade the board, you will pay the same amount for the E1, get a better gun, thats faster, more accurate, isn't a piece of ****, is smaller, lighter and for all intensive purposes looks better. I don't want the dangerous power G4 anymore because I bought the Mokal and as much as I like the G4 the mokal will fill my desires for the time being and I want the proto rail, but I want to upgrade to the reflex rail.

Post up an extensive review of the Aura with pictures of it inside and out. Most of us haven't even gotten the chance to hold, much less actually USE, this marker and it looks extremely interesting.

Or ship it to me so I can play with it and try it out since I'm too broke to buy anything for a while.

your kidding about the G4 right? you clearly dont know the history DP had with both the g3 and g4, they had massive factory problems when they were released that didnt get fixed for a while, not enough R&D if you ask me. generation 1 minis had teething issues but remember that was also inverts first marker so kinda expected, got solved with the intro of gen 2 which was about a year later if im not mistaken, since then they have released 2 more poppet versions that have gotten better each time. Really though if you look into it the unbalanced spool that is the g3/4 is one of the worst USs on the market, its not terrible but its not good. loud, inefficient and kicks like a mule (for a US)

i had a mini and sold it for reasons but it was not because it broke, i actually only ever had 1 issue with it and that happened at home,

and god please dont by a extacy, its just a ion under a different name, the same bastards that ran SP into the ground sell it and every penny that goes to them is used to try and screw the industry and the players out of money

I kinda wanted the eXTCy for the reason that it was a slightly re-vamped Ion. When Ion came out it was one of those guns I wanted but could never afford to get and so earned a nostalgic place in my heart. But I was hoping that it was a better gun than the Ion, because the SP Ion was **** in a pretty package that you could change its colors. As far the the Mini Vs. the G4 I guess we both are on opposite sides of the fence. My interactions with the mini were all gen 1 and I learned to hate that thing, where as all my experience with the G4 is after gen 1 when they started shipping the newly fixed markers. My co-worker just ordered one 3 weeks ago and we have played 3 times since then. Probably about 1 to 1.5k balls per day and he has yet to experience any problems with the gun. The only thing we did out of the box is I broke it down for him and took all that thick grease they put in there out and put on different lube, and we replaced the o-ring on the bolt cover. Both of these are recommended by Tech-Pb straight out of the box and doing both of these has proved to be effective and the gun has been flawless. It is a bit loud stock, but with the tech-t L7 its considerably quieter. I think the one huge thing I hate about the G4 is that it is advertised at 35BPS but every time anyone (I know 3 people with them) tried to put 35BPS through the gun they chopped paint like crazy. Why you would want to shoot that fast is beyond me. PSP or Millenium is fast enough, and if you have a need to shoot fast, then go semi-auto and see where you stand on your own. But as I said I got the Mokal so no need for the G4.

As far as posting pics and internals goes, I will gladly post everything for you when I receive the gun, I talked to the company yesterday and my gun is in the final stages off anno and assembly and should be in the mail shortly. Im pretty excited, this is the first time I have ever got a gun fresh of the factory line.

ya just cuz GOG is now responsible for the ion doesnt mean its any better, its still the same POS in a dress.

Mike has this thing for the g3/4 that we dont understand around here, like i said its loud, kicks and is inefficient, sure you can fix those problems but at least for me, i dont feel the need to dump parts into something to make it keep up with the rest of markers out there in its class, upgrades should make it better not only allow it to keep up. ya DP says 35 but who cares? your never going to need that, even half of that is a waste of paint

im excited to see this morkal
