Most possibly because blind shooting causes a safety issue. Let alone being cheap.

No really it isn't. I have been a referee and head referee for 3 years. Blind shooting poses several major safety issues.

AIM and LOOK where you shoot.

You want to minimize your target? Tuck your elbows in, keep the gun in tight, keep your body at an angle when facing the enemy so your target is smaller. Don't blind shoot.

Lemme now tell u a story. I was play 2v1 with my friends. I was on the team with 2. I went up to the 50, My friend went to a back bunker. I was looking to do a bunker so i had him give me some cover, Well he did but did it blind shooting style and lit my back up...I ended up getting bunker b/c of this...

ArmoArchangel has some good advice for minimizing your target signature, but I would also like to add that your marker has a much smaller profile when it's aimed at your target straight on. A good way to check how much of a sig you have is stand in front of a mirror. As simple as it sounds, try out a few different positions note how much of you is showing.
