Paintball business

I'm starting a paintball business and I was wondering what you guys thought would be good standard equippement. Im not planning on using really expensive stuff, but i was thinkin on getting some tippmanns cause they last but I dunno about the rest, i need some cheap stuff. About the field I got it all covered so that's ok.

Any advice will be heard.

Well it all depends what you are trying to run. If this is just going to be a feild pick up like 10-20 rental guns, tanks, hoppers, masks, and a crono and then all the other feild equipment. If you are starting up a store you will have to invest into some higher end gear to sell in hopes of yealding profit. My local shop is struggling and on the verge of bankrupcy because they started out low end stayed low end and they lost a lot of business when everyone went high end because they didnt have the parts to supply us so we were forced to go else where with our money. I hope this helps.

You should hook up with PMI. Get some piranha's, extreme rage masks, co2 tanks and sell premiums.

He's probably already got it....

Yeah I would go with Tippy 98c or Piranhas, probably the tippy's cause they break less.
Not spyders. There was one field I went to a longg time ago when I was just starting paintball that rented out spyders, they had a whole stack in their shed of broken markers and they had a separate line for "rental marker repair" that was usually pretty busy...not something you want to deal with.

A really popular field that I go to rents out piranhas and HPA, which is really good for the newbies (which is most of your rental crowd); I've heard people at my school talk about going there over some other place just because their rentals came with "nitrous oxide" as they call it (not that they really knew what the difference was; they thought it made it hurt more or something). The same field will also rent you an A5 if you pay like $10-15 more or something, and I think this combination is a big reason why they're as popular as they are. But doing that might be a bit expensive if you're just starting.
I would rent out the cheapest masks you can find. People are not going to go to one field over another because of the masks.
I'd also sell paint pretty cheap; the birthday party/church group type crowd likes to go to places that sell really cheap paint since most people will be renting so they can't buy the paint somewhere else.

Is it just you who's planning on work there, or do you have a team. If you have a handful of guys piranhas would be better, considering their likelihood to break down. I'd stick with co2 for rentals, that's always worked well enough at my field. If you have the money, carry a slightly larger variety of paint, like premiums, seconds, and marbalizers. This will probably bring in some profit and keep the better ballers coming back. HPA fill stations are a bit of a ***** to run, so I'd suggest getting a compressor and a few scuba tanks. That way you don't actually have to buy pre-filled tanks. co2 only comes in prefilled tanks, though. extreme rage masks and gravity feeds are good ideas. don't forget the barrel condoms or refs, btw
