I recently purchased a tippmann model 98 and i am thinking about getting some upgrades for it but i don't know what is compatable with it. If someone could tell me it would be very helpful!

That's true but you can get a HPA tank for it!

An HPA tank is a tank, not an upgrade.

Its an upgrade from CO2, so HPA would be a great upgrade for the gun, and you could use it on your next gun.

Also look around for a nice barrel like a J&J or CP 1-peice.

The trigger can be upgraded, the barrel, the hopper, add an expansion chamber. Your M98 can't have any internal upgrades but i'm pretty sure you can do those things to it. Are you sure it's not a 98 C?

Im not sure about the flatline. There is a thread in the Tippmann Pneumatics section so try that.

I dont see why you cant put a flatline on it be I dunno.

Don't dump a ton of money into it. Just get stuff you can use on your next gun. HPA, Hopper, Drop, stuff like that. Probably need a barrel also.

If you're saving up for an A-5, I'd try and keep the upgrades on the M98 to a minimum. Any barrels you get for the 98 won't work on an A-5 (unless you get an adaptor), and the same goes for the hoppers. Drops for A-5s need a little plate thingy on the bottom of the grip to be installed, but if you're going to get a remote line, you won't be needing a drop.

The stock hopper should keep up with your 98 unless you put an RT on it or something, though if you're finding you are still chopping balls, maybe get a cheapo electric hopper (no point spending $50+ on a fancy electric hopper if you're getting an A-5).

Maybe consider just getting a decent cheap barrel for the M98 (Something like a 12-14" J&J Ceramic), and leaving it otherwise pretty stock.

Stuff like tanks and remote lines will swap over easily to an A-5.

I'm guessing you'll be mostly playing woodsball?
