Im trying to build one in the high desert right now (phelan/victorville area)haha, im gonna be making a speedball type field out of some plywood, bales of straw and a couple inflatable bunkers. My dimensions are 125'x65'. With that much land you could make a pretty awesome field ha.

make two-by-four rectangles then make them have chicken wire across the front.it works really well and is pretty cheap, or if you use 2x6s its the cost of two 9ft 2x6s and 3$ or chicken wire

wow.... 4 acres? I wish I had land to build a field on.... Well, you could just make frames out of wood and cover them in tarp. Or, just make wood bunkers. Depends on how big youre fields are gonna be

Yeah the tarp one is a good idea, we were gonna do that for ours but we want a really clean look. I have about an acre to do mine on, your lucky you could do multiple fields. Like maybe do a little speedball one then do another for scenario type games with trenches and fake buildings and stuff. That would be pretty cool.

Hmmm.... You can put the bunkers behind the bushes if its a small field. Im guessing people generally dont stand in front of each other's bunkers. You said you were in the desert right? Those shrubs would probably be hard to pull

I wouldnt worry too much, unless they get in the way of building, you can always pull them later

You could leave the bushes and stuff or if you pull them out you can always stack them up and make a bunker out of them too haha. I did that with a bunch of dead joshua trees on my old field.

theres an idea too, but stacking bushes together and using it as a bunker could be a problem. It would be impossible to clean.

Like you mean paint? In the desert the dirt covers the paint really fast haha. Turns bright red paint brown within a couple days haha. It could pose a fire hazard though.

Yeah, I would hose down the bunkers after you play. When Paint and shells build up, its just nasty

That would be cool. old couches make really good bunkers as well as trash cans and pretty much anything else you can find haha. the main drawback is the trashy look.

Yeah we have a field behind the local college and everything is a nsaty shade of bluish-green slime.

Use trenches and sandbags though.

well, you could play a game where one team is in a cluster of 3 sided bunkers: "town" and one team with big plastic pallets, not to big:"shields" and have the team with shields move around, but they have to get the "town" by shooting or bunkering, within a 5-10-30 min time limit.
