E-Trigger?

Hey guys.

I want to buy an E-Trigger for my 98 C, but I was wondering if I needed to buy an E-Hopper or an E-bolt for it to work properly, will it chop balls if I have a gravity feed?

Save your money and don't get the e-grip
The 98c you have is fine the way it is, and spending money on upgrading a lower quality marker is not economical

I'd save that money and hold onto it until you can buy yourself a whole new e-marker

Not AZN level price, there's not too many electro markers priced at the same level as the Talon.

Not bad advice, but not great either depending on you and how much you like your 98.

If you do want to up grade check out the Response Trigger they are less expensive than an E-Trigger and may do what you want.

If you intend to fire fully auto then I would say yes an electronic hopper would minimize the chance for ball chops, gravity hoppers might not be able to feed fast enough to keep up.

As far as the internal components I would suggest leaving it stock until you need to replace parts anyway then look at upgrades.

Thanks for the replies guys, I DO want to keep my 98, but I guess I'll upgrade someday. I'll look into the Response Trigger.

Just another question, how many bps do Gravity loaders feed? I know I should get an E-Loader, but my parents buy my things.

Yes! Get the lpader before the grip itself. Gravity hoppers ony feed about 6 BPS give or take a little. Get a hopper called an empire prophecy. Or look used on pbnation.

Final question, with the Response Trigger, if you hold down the trigger it keeps shooting right?

kinda, it has a so called "sweet spot" where you are essentially firing full auto because of the bounce

one little note though, i have heard of some fields banning the RT because you can not limit how many BPS it is firing, defiantly worth a call to your local field(S) to make sure they will allow it before committing to buy it

i would suggest not buying anything for your 98c, the performance you gain will not be worth the money you spend, it is much better to just save that money you were going to spend on your 98 and get a mid range marker or at least a whole different e-framed low end. upgrading low end markers does not help performance nearly enough to justify the money you have to spend to do so

i would suggest you get a e-hopper regardless and a HPA tank because when you eventually do get a mid range marker it will require HPA

Ok, thanks people. I recently saw the Invert Mini, and loved it's looks and everyone seems to think it's a great marker, so maybe that one.

With any new marker purchase, it's definitely better to try before you buy, if possible. As stated above, the hopper/mask/tank/pods are good investments (don't skimp on them if possible lol) because they will work on any marker. Barrels, too can be good investments, if they have one of the more popular thread styles (Autococker, Spyder, etc) but if you jump from, say, an 98 to an Ion (or any other differently threaded marker) that barrel won't fit on your new one.

Also, I agree with above on upgrading a Tippmann; it's ok if you are absolutely sure you want to make the Tippmann THE marker you use all the time, but for the $$$ you sink into it, you can buy a much better, smaller, faster marker, such as the mini. Ultimately, it's up to you. I know some people that have fully upped spyders, 98's, and A-5's and absolutely love them, and I know some people that will buy guns stock and refuse to ever buy an upgrade for them (besides maybe barrel, possibly board). Instead, they trade up for newer, better ones.

It's all up to you. No matter what you choose to do, good luck, stay safe, and have fun!
