piranha not recocking

im going to play paintball this weekend. i wanted to take my stock piranha from 2005-2006 but i am having trouble with my gun re-cocking. it seems to not have enough pressure to push the hammer back to recock but i also just switched to an n2 tank rather than co2 could that be an issue please help

check to see if it's a low pressure output tank. if it is, you can't use it.

^ Could be that, or if the gun has sat for a number of years, it could just need cleaned, re-lubed, and perhaps a new hammer o-ring.

most likely the spring has lost some tension from sitting for so long, so its not that the marker doesnt have enough pressure to re-cock its that the hammer isnt hitting the valve hard enough to allow enough of that pressure through
