outplay him. It's too bad he's a jerk; but that's just how some people are.

Tactical team based play.

A pump player is going to be mobile as ever. Depending on the marker, he'll either be using 12gram or likely a booby or 48ci tank. He also doesn't have to carry a lot of paint - as he also won't be throwing 4-5 shots in your general direction.

I'd say you need to keep eyes on him, and need to flank him. If you're with a team, stay spread, but close enough that you can communicate. If you're playing solo - you need to out-play him. Keep in mind that (after realizing this on the field) the majority of people are right handed, and the majority of paintballers are people - Thus we can assume that the majority of paintballers are right handed. They tend to stick with the side they're comfortable shooting....Right. Their right is your left. If you can force him to shoot left handed, or can comfortably play lefty yourself - that's how you'll win.

just throw a ton of paint, theres no way he can match your rate of fire. if you keep slinging paint by him he cant move, if he cant move you can catch him in a cross fire eventually.

also, see which side he is on the dead box before the break, if he is going left, when the game starts, just start laneing up the left side, again, he cant lane like you can because he cant match the ROF

Also a good point, unfortunately though the field i play at has large obstructions midfield to get rid of a lot of field of fire so he routinely uses it to flank but i believe i can use your suppresive fire and dprimmy's manipulation of his non dominant hand to get him

o so its a woodsball or urban setting i assume then.

communicate with your team more. and if he is working his way to the center of the field you need to stick to one of the edges so you can fire in towards the center of the field

Just do what he does. Watch him play a game, you'll probably learn a few things. Pumpers like angling and flanking, and if he's experienced then he probably knows how to communicate. Or even play a game with him and see how he handles his team.

he likes to put other people in precarious positions and leave himself in a stable area, he only really goes out near the end of the match for the glory kill and running up on someone, but you are right about the flanking, i never get a ball from him straight on

Tactics and outplay him. Plan ahead with your team. And do a full force(ff) to him. I think with tons of fire aiming towards you I doubt he can move.

utelize the snake! go snake and get up beside or behind him. like everyone has been saying keep eyes on him at all time. you can see when someone shoots at you across field and will have plenty of time ducking out of the way. he wont really be able to give you constant fire at the bunker youre at. communicate, move, and keep eyes on him.
