WIth age comes...senility

So, heading out to the field this morning, and I always put batteries in before heading out to make sure everything is functional. My Rogue already had a battery in, so go to turn it on, nothing. Figure the battery is dead so I pull it out and test it the standard method (tongue) and jump because it's got plenty of charge. Put it back in and try turning on the Rogue again. Nothing. Then I look, and I'm pressing the "eyes off/on" button, NOT the power button. Try the CORRECT button, and WALA!! it turns on. Battery fully charged. I hate getting old.

PS - didn't have any issues turning on any of the other markers I'm taking though!! (Victory, Vapor, PM8)

Best way to describe it is "overpriced Rogue". It's worth NOWHERE near what they retail for. But they're not bad. Smooth, but not insanely smooth. Not very efficient. Nice design but odd feeling trigger. APE board.

Had a blast at the field. My Victory was, amazingly, FLAWLESS. I generally expect to have to replace orings, or rebuild a reg when purchasing used, since I know a lot of people sell the marker as soon as it needs routine maintenance. The thing worked FLAWLESSLY. Chrono'd between 275-279 (once I turned it down, was around 315) every shot. NOt a single issue. And shot fabulous the whole day.

Nah, I had my Rapper the entire time. Only got the Victory so I can get the VCOM since he didn't release them for the gen1 marqs. I just this past week sold the Rapper.

That's only because you interface with people older than you.

Try hanging out with a 20 year old. You'll be ancient in no time.

I lived with a guy who had a decade on me. He was a cool guy, it was sad to leave him but by that time i'd already paid for a single bedroom place.

I turn 29 this year....damn. Wow...

Yeah - Things I've noticed thus far:

*Your eyes now have a minimal focal length.
*It isn't as easy as it used to be to force them to focus (perpetual glasses wearer)
*Cardio - if you haven't been doing it - you can't just start..
*Stretching... required before you do most any physically demanding activity
*Stretching after - who knew it made next-day muscle pains go away?
*Mentally - you consider anyone younger than you to be inexperienced
*Mentally - you NOW understand that it is possible to take advice from people.
*The statement - be nice to your body? The one doctors and people sang to us? It starts to make sense
*Old sports injuries hurt when it rains
*You miss the lifestyle of going to school.
*Free time exists only while showering, on the toilet, or doing something for someone else.
*Life is expensive
*Its a LOT easier to put weight on
*Water is worth its weight in gold and is a choice beverage
*Your shoes last longer
*Showing up an 18 year old is possible... it just will result in feeling it the next day.

Sounds about right. Thankfully i'm keeping up with cardio, and wear contacts. I've also never had an issue gaining weight; I suspect that'll kick in sometime in my 30's. then again, none of my family members have had weight issues either.
