Pev's

My local field is pevs. I really like it a whole lot. It seems that its a pretty popular field for us on the east coast. They have a great array of rec ball fields as well as two speedball fields, which I have yet to play on. I don't think I quite ready for speedball, nor would my gun be good enough. If I am correct there are around 11 rec ball fields and I think I have played on all but 2 or 3. There fields are great for scenario play. One of the most popular is Fort Tippman and it is basically a fort with a tower on top of a hill. One team starts up on top near the fort and the other on the bottom of the hill. They also have a great one thats called Town which is my personal favorite. It's basically a CQB battle and you always get shot at close range. They have a courtesy surrender rule where someone can surrender if your close, but no one follows it and usually it ends up as both people getting hammered. The field has an on-site shop which has great stuff, and they have free air refills. The only real problem is that they only allow you to use paintballs you buy there, so that is where your money goes. Other wise, with or without your own gear, its cheap to play. The couple of times I have went there were around 150 people, so they divide you up by skill and the games topically have about 20 to 30 on each team. No clue how long the games last as I am usually having a great time that I could care less how much time goes by. I'd assume the games are around 20 minutes or so. You do have to pay a separate fee to play on the speedball fields, and as I said I'm not quite ready but I'll try it someday. Anywho I hope you guys could come play here at least once it is definitely a must, its a really a great facility. And I almost forgot. It is located in Aldie, VA, 20105

God Bless

I know some guys who play at pevs.

Say hey to Matt Claus and Todd Rodgers for me. They are some of the two biggest guys that I know. I think that matty is like, 6 of me. There's a picture of me wearing his jersey somewhere on the internet. My arms came to about the elbows, and it went down almost to my feet.

Have not been a fan of the PEV's feilds (back in 2000-2004 time frame) I use to play mostly at Hogback Mountian mostly. But have just moved back into the area so I will have to see if it's still as good as I remember and if PEVs got their act together seance I last went.

Lack of chrono graphing, not very good at enforcing safety rules, inexperienced refs. But it has been about 10 years sence I went

Glad to hear that they have gotten better about that. Now I just have to wait for my gear before I can check them out for my self.

You might see me up there at some point. I will tend wear my grey knights Jersy ("Shifty" the name on the back) and use a blue/silver 2k AC pump (or any of my 12 other markers) when I play
