Night Vision

I've never been to a scenario game before...does anyone know any techniques to level the playing field at night, since there is no way I can afford an NVS?

You can buy night vision, but is very expensive. I wouldn't pay the money for a good set, and then have it break in a game of paintball. Usually, they have lights, speraticly (sp?) spread throughout the field (the couple i've been to at night.)

Do you have sunglasses? Put them on for about a minute before you get onto the field to play. Your iris will shrink or enlarge (I think its shrink...) and will allow you to see better. Not quite nightvision but its better.

Other then that.. I don't have any ideas on how to light up the field.. I mean you could get a flashlight, or even maybe make somethign that you can throw that will illuminate an area. Problem with flaslights is is that they can see where its coming from.

sometimes you can find cheap nightvision on ebay...not often but its nice to have. I have a 2gn Night scope i got from my dad...found it at a gun show in Tulsa Ok...

just look around you might get lucky.

otherwise its time to rely on your trusty ears... in the dark best thing to do is take it slowly and keep very very quiet and listen for others.

Its Enlarge, it does that so that more light can get in so that you can see in the dark a little better

make u sure u have a thermal lense or a fan foggin is a ***** during nightr games. also ppl w/ nightvision usually stick towards the base if u see some 1 w/ nightvusuin just shine a flashlight in there eyes and itll totaly **** them.

if your in a large spread group u can also eliminate the chancews and use your numbers agasint them.

some excellent points.

A fan will help you a lot at night. Not to mention carrying a simple flashlightwith can be usefull. A red lense keeps the light low so enemies cant spot you easily and you still can shine it towards those who use night vision

One tactic we use is to get one of the big honking 12V powered searchlights. then we go out in a group of at least 4, 1 holding the light and getting ready to run, 3 shooters. The one with the light just aims it around and when he ses someone the shooters open up on him. works pretty well, especially since our field doesn't count equipment hits anymore.

If your Iris has enlarged and someone Shines a Red Lense in your Eyes the Iris will Stay Large, But a Clear/White Lens with Shrink them Rigth up, Making you not be able to see in the Dark when it goes off. Its true the Red Lense gives off a little less light, People will still Spot it. So It would be good to Carry a Clear lens, If you here someone you shine it in their eyes, Then turn it off. Then to them its Pitch Black but you can still see pretty well. A Red Lense would be good if your Talking to your Allies in a Base or something, so that it doesnt screw their Vision.

I've been thinking about making some luminescant iron sights for my gun, I'll have to find an efficent way to mount some UV LEDs on them to keep them charged though.

The big thing we normally do for night time play is ambushes. We scout out the paths during the day time play so we know what’s going to be heavily traveled at night. When night time comes take up position on one side of the path and have half your guys with spotlights. I’m talk’n your massive turn night into day type lights, not these dinky flashlights or mag lights everyone uses. Wait till you hear a group coming up close, very close, then give the signal for lights on. While they’re temporarily blinded by the lights you can see what team they’re on. If they’re yours, tell them fast and let them go. If they’re not, send ‘em back to hell.

Don’t stay on one spot for too long after you engage someone. Word will get out and your spot will either be avoided, or you will be ambushed yourself. Switch it up and keep things interesting.

I’ll let you figure the rest out for yourself… I cant give away all my secrets now can i?

ambushes are better if you have someone on your team for them to follow or if they think there the ones ambushing
