Newbie here. I have a spyder tl-x. What should I do to my gun spending ~$150? I am not going to go crazy with this gun, just want something better than rental equipment. I will play like once a month or so.

Newbie here. I have a spyder tl-x. What should I do to my gun spending ~$150? I am not going to go crazy with this gun, but I do want to get the best shot I can for the money. I will play like once a month or so.

Firt thing you MUST do is buy a new barrel J&J ceramics are nice barrels and not too expensive for a spyder
eventually youre' gonna outshoot your marker..so get a T-board, much faster :)
Then get a 50g switch for your trigger
Maybe you coudl turn youe spyder into a low pressure marker (LP) That way its' quieter, has less kick, and uses less CO2
Custom LP job

He said he wasn't going to go crazy with his marker.

What i reccomend is a hopper (revvy or reloader), barrel (j&j's are good or custom products) and get compressed air(pure energy, and crossfire are good)

And start saving up for your next marker.

why would he need a t-board, a switch, and an electric hopper on a mech spyder??

if you want accuracy,i'd get a $35 Smart Parts Teardrop barrel. HPA and a regulator will also help. those are pretty much all you can do for accuracy besides getting the right paint.

ps i wouldnt tell him to save up for his next gun if he was only playing once a month, i'd say he's pretty much set.

i figure u already have a mask,c02 and all the other requirements. The first thing would definatly get a barrel, maybe if u want get a reg and HPA. and like blue said use it for more balls.

no i wouldnt get an egg on a mech spyder.
it would be overkill for the time being but once he gets and egrip or a new gun it will be worth it.

id suggest getting(in order) a barrel(J&J Ceramic, $35), HPA(Pure Energy 3000PSI aluminum tank, $80 or same fiber-wrapped, $180), a hopper(Halo B, $110), and a new gun(SP Ion, ICD BKO).

The halo B is expensive but anything else is just a waste of your money since youll have to eventually get a halo anyway. If the new price is to steep you can get a used one for around $80.

im guessing you didnt read my previous post since yyou posted nly a minute after it.

at the time i didnt see the part were he did say he played only once a month.
however, if you are going to buy an agitated loader you should buy a halo. I realize its more expensive and not necessary for his current gun thats why i said to get it as the last upgrade. Because, if he does get a BKO(no eyes) he will deffinitly want a halo.

if youve got only the gun i would say you should get a 20 oz co2 tank or nitro, and a hopper, a barrel, paintballs, and a reg..oh and u might want a mask too

Get a 14 inch smartparts tear drop barrel. Get a classic e frame. Than get a mach 404 hopper. My friend has that on his tlr which is the same thing and let me tell you that thing rips. In all you would be spending 160 just save a bit more (10$) If your not into electric guns than i guess save for paint and get a new barrel. I wouldnt put a hpa on that thing kuz its not all that great of a gun unless u play in the winter alot. Just get ur co2 anti siphoned. This is just my 2 cents take it or leave it

illd say an e-grip, a nitro tank, a decent agitated hopper, a decent barrel(match the barrel to the paint you play with) would all be decent upgrades. What do you want out of your gun, that should be ther first question. are you wanting more speed? or just a better marker
