Huck, yes it's still a clamshell, they split the left side shell in 2 though, front and rear.
In theory, you can take off the front section to change out the bolt o ring or detent. In practice it's not as useful as it sounds because you still need to make sure the front sight, spring, detent and connecting rod are all in place and aligned. There are really only about 4 screws it saves you from having to take out

So this came up last year at supergame and before I give my views I'm curious to know what you guys think.
Take the dye dam, the box mag for that feeds up through the mag well, you can eject it like any other magazine but you reload it using pods.
