I'm considering a few upgrades for my A-5 and in general. I mainly use my gun for Woods Ball style play. Tell me what you guys think or if you have any experience with any of the parts.

So far it is stock /w a Response trigger.

BT A5 Combat Barrel w/ Apex System
Trinity 6-Stage AK-47 Magazine Expansion Chamber - I'm still looking for a better looking one. I don't like how long the 47 one is, if they had an M-4 style short clip id use that. Also will this still be useful if i decide to goto compressed air?
Camo Tac Vest
350-round Hopper - I like the idea of a bigger capacity hopper, but not sure how much bigger it is on the gun.. so i may go with the 240 one.

Also i planned on getting a remote, but ive heard people here say different things about remotes. IF i get a remote, ill proly add this to it. SPECIAL OPS A-5 LONGBOW EZ AIR-THRU KIT



So far, thats all i have planned. Any other suggestions would be cool.

Also, if this is somehow in the wrong area, or their is another place for it, then forgive me, please don't flame/bash me for posting it here.

It can get a bit $$$ but worth it! if ur lookin at the $150-250 range i would say...
1. AK-47/M4 barrel (BT) 90-100$
2. Remote cord. 20$
3. Red dot site (Daisy or something...) 20-30$
4. Double Trigger/respone/egrip??? I would say double trigger. 15-20$ (e-grip 100$ and responce 60-70$.)

The expansion chamber will have no effect on compressed air. At all.

The hopper will probably be like having a football strapped to your gun. And it'll be heavier. Reloading does not take long at all, I recommend having extra pods instead.

Yeah i agree. My friend has a jumbo hopper and it's freakin huge! Way to heavy and bulky'! With a tac vest u can stuff alot of pods! I use a tac vest and 2 other pod packs. I can carry 2000 eounds on me. (I only need that much at long and big games) Ex chamber Bla! If u have Nitro it wont matter at all!

Remotes are fine! I have never had a problem with mine! Use it carefully, clean it (put gun oil on it before using).

I was wondering if double triggers are worth it with a e-grip. I keep hearing they suck with an RT, but how about the egrip?

The double triggers are cool with an egrip because of all the modes. Ex: U can't use Fall auto at most fields, so switch it to semi, right. That's why a double trigger with an egrip is cool. When u play outlaw u can use full auto. When u go to a field u can use semi. Plus double triggers rock with tippys anyway!

Actually ive discovered a new BT barrel that has Apex for 130, proly go with that

I dono about the site, i don't think they would help over long distances (which is usually what woods ball range is)

As far as the trigger, It already as a response trigger on it.

As far as the larger hopper, yea i was concerned how much larger it would be. Proly will just stick with the default one or maybe a 200 round one. So far tho the 150 one lasts awhile with my play style.

I just got a new a-5 how hard is it to get a double trigger on there. I am not really sure what I am doing but if its easy I would love to put it on asap.

Yeah the apex barrel is cool. people say that they are not as awsome as BT clames they to be. But I would go with the M4 apex tho'! (way cooler then the AK-47!)

Wolf, It looks like that gun is just wrapped in RealTree tape or sticker.

Look at the imperfections (random bumps) on the front grip and airline. Also, the camo stops near the top of the drop forward- as if it was not removed from the gun, just wrapped while it was installed.

"Yea, i know about that kit, (and i didn't realize that the pic i posted was also tape) but im a bit leary about "taping" my gun up. Mainly because it will eventually start to loose its adhesive and start to come off, not to mention it would proly leave a nasty mess on the gun itself.

Aside from that, it doesn't cover the barrel, and from what i can tell, doesn't cover the cyclone feeder eather.

I can paint it myself, (i just need to learn to do the prep for it so the paint stick properly), but i have no way to 'bake' it so its more durable. Also, im not sure what kind of tape or whatever i could use to cut out camo patterns so that one side is lightly adhesive (sticks enough to paint). Ive seen it and i know painters use it to do flame patterns and stuff.

I did have a progressive before I got my J and J 16in. I'm loving it! J and J makes very good barresl!
