I love paintball all around, i do rec woodsball/speedball, senarios, and some minor leage tournaments. My dad always goes paintballin with me, he only plays woodsball. He absoulty hates speedball, and will not play it. Well since everytime he goes he uses a rental. Im going to get him a paintball gun for fathers day. He has always talked about getting one but has never gone threw with it. I know it is what he wants. He talks about how he wants to make a sniper. Since im going to buy the gun, and he and i are going to upgrade everything together, i wanted to know which gun made a better sniper ( after many upgrades). So i want to know which gun will let us upgrade to a very very nice sniper. So i wanted to know, which gun should we upgrade? A5 or 98?

Also any other suggestions on how to make this one B.A. gun would nice, like what barrel/stock/scope/tank to get. Also one more question, ive heard both ways on this, but for sniping/having the least gas cloud, for a sniper whats best? Co2 or a nitro tank.

Any and all help/tips will be greaty appreciated.

They are seriously the same thing. Other than the Cyclone inside the A5 is a 98C they operate identically. Same marker. Same performance. If you are worried about the "gas cloud" go with HPA. You will sometimes get a small cloud of condensation but nothing like you get from CO2. If you want a nice quiet marker look into a Smart Parts SP1 it costs around the same as an A5 but it operates much quieter and still has that woodsball look to it. Slap on a nice ported barrel and an HPA tank and you are in business.
