its not that great of a loader and espeshally for the price they want, not to mention you cant put it on any other marker, so if you get another marker you still need another hopper. invert too will feed better than the cyclone and can be put onto any marker that uses a standard feedneck (about 99% of stuff out there)

I know it's been awhile since there's been any Alpha Black discussion, but if at all possible, I'd like to get it started back up. Talk about what kinds of upgrades you have. What works out for you? What doesn't?

I've only done a few things for my Alpha Black. First I put a sling on it. It's just nice to be able to walk around in between games and not have to carry it in my hand. I've heard a few people say that the Alpha Blacks weight is an issue for them. It's never bothered me, but if the weight is an issue for you, a sling should help you out.

As far as barrels go, I bought a flatline and a J&J. Whenever I played indoors, I had been using the stock barrel. After hearing nothing but good things about the J&J barrel, I decided to get one. I just ordered it the other day and have not received it yet. After I use it, I'll let you know what I think of it. It was only $30.

I think I've said it before here, but the flatline barrel takes some work. You have to set it up just right, and it also takes some work to master the thing. I still haven't myself. It will add quite a bit more range to your Alpha Black. Some people like it, others don't. I rather enjoy it myself.

Something else I added is a Cyclone feeder. It works well, and I am happy with it. It increases my rate of fire, and that's pretty much why I wanted it. It also appealed to me because it doesn't require batteries. It does what it's supposed to do, and it's nice to have but...If I could do it over again, I might get an Invert Halo Too instead. I feel for the money, the Invert Halo Too is a better buy, and does more for you. The reason being is because if I get another marker, I can still use the Invert Halo Too. With the Cyclone I'm really not able to do that unless I get a Tippmann.

I also have a remote line for my Alpha Black. I felt like the tank was in my way. I didn't have the room I wanted between the tank and the stock. Even with the stock fully extended. The remote line eliminated the problem for me. I think you've got to do what works best for you. Also, a remote line will help you out again if the weight of this gun is an problem for you.

Overall, I think the Alpha Black is a great value for the price. Sure it's a dolled up 98 custom, but I prefer the look and feel of this gun over the 98. I do a lot of running around so this gun gets beat up pretty good. I've beat the s*** out of this marker and it still performs great. I've had it for around 2 yrs and never had any problems. I think it's a good priced marker whether you've been playing for years, or you're just getting started.

That's when this thread was created. please pay attention to post dates.
Yeah I noticed that. I'm not sure if you bothered to read my post or not? I said I was aware that it had been awhile since there had been any Alpha Black discussion, but I'd like to try to get it going again. I figured going to an Alpha Black thread was a good way of going about it, but I guess I was wrong. What would your suggestion be? Should I start a new thread about the Alpha Black?

I not a regular in the world of forums. I just figured if a thread was already made, go ahead and use it rather then making a new one on the same topic. Plus I didn't see you getting on anyone else's case when they did pretty much the same thing I did and posted after a few months of no activity here. I apologize if I went about it the wrong way. Your suggestions would be appreciated.

next time just create your own thread, its not like the OP will get any use out of this thread, they are long gone

we get a lot of new members resurrecting old threads around here for no reason though
Alright, I'll be sure to do that next time. Thanks for the help.
