Ok ive got 2 12" subs running off of one RF P6002 amp. I also have an older cheap Power Akoustics amp layin around my house. Question is how would i go about wiring both of the amps to power the 2 subs.

Dont know how good of a response Ill get but i figured NTD might be able to help out.

i do believe to run 2 amps you'll need 2 sets of RCA hookups on your head unit, so i'd start there.
not true, most amps have an output jack on the side to run dual amps.

First of all, i wouldn't do that, chances are one sub will be outhitting the other sub and it will sound like crap. If you want to find a good use for the power accoustics amp though, hook it up to speakers, and use the r/f for subs. Things to look for though would be alternator output, battery stability, b/c u may have clipping when you depress the brake and release the throttle, or when u just play the sound system with the car idling or are just running acc.

i was origionally going to just wire the old amp to my speakers but as cheap as it is, it puts out to much power for them. If i get new speakers I might use it though. I would sell it, but i wouldnt get anything for it.

i wasnt going to put one amp with one sub and one with the other so how would one sub outhit the other?

Alright.....depends on the wiring of the amps.
If both amps suggest that you use 8 gauge wiring...run a single 4 gauge wire out to your trunk, then get a distribution block and run 2 8 gauge wires off that single 4 gauge using the distribution block...get it?
Now if the amps take both 4 gauge, then your gonna hafta run a 1/0 gauge wire out and then use a distrubition block to run two 4 gauge wires...get that now? lol
Now your gonna hafta ground the 2 amps in two different locations.Cant ground them from the same location I believe.
Also, if one amp has a output on it, plug your headunit output into that amps input, then run a rca cable from that output to the other amps input. Stick with me...lol.
Now wiring up two subs is the tricky part, and I am really not good at explaining that part....Nissantunerdude...you take it from there if you may lol.

alright first i need some info
what kind of subs are they
power handling
are the single or dual voice coil
how many ohms are they

and why are you wanting to put 2 amps on them

that rockford alone should be enough to push a pair of 12's unless they are some high end/competion subs

well never mind im gettin some new speakers tomorrow so im gonna use it to power them. Thanks for the help that some gave me.

Nissan the subs i have are called Ballistics. From the looks of them they are very old subs. They came with the truck and I have never heard of them. Pretty much the only thing i know about them are they are SVC. No where on the subs does it tell me RMS rating, ohms, peak power, or anything that could be usefull.

Ive searched every car stereo website imaginable and can find absolutly nothing on them besides a few ebay links that provide nothing. So if you've ever heard of/know anything about them it would be great.

i have never heard of them so chances are they are a very low end sub and will have a low power handling so if you want to run em that RF would be more than enough

what are you getting to replace em?
