Anybody ski or ride in the east or outwest? Just wondering. I've been skiing for about 9 years. I also just got a job at a local ski shop tuning skis and snowboards, and selling them. Im so excited to be working at a place like that. Its about the best job i could think of.

i ski...used to race...but now i skiboard (shorter skis). And dont gimme **** for doin it...the mountain i ski at is small as hell...i can get down it in a matter of minute or less...so i just wanted sumthign different. I was tired of hauling ass down the hill with my 210 cm skis in 30 seconds...sittin on the skilift for 3 min...then doin it again.

Sounds exactly like the place we used to go to. Our HS and junior high go to this place called ski sundown, with a 4 main trails that you can fly down. I used ski boards for a couple years and got sick of them cause they were slow and didnt offer much of a challenge. A bought a pair of long skis a couple years ago and ive been having a ton of fun on them. I want to get into racing next year at college. I want to transfer to somewhere north near canada like johnson state college.

I've been snowboarding for about 6 years, this year I'm gonna try to ski. Too many boarders giving skiiers crap at my mountain... gotta prove them wrong. :)
I've skiied all my life, and have rode for the last 5 years, and let me tell you, riding is much harder then skiing. When you ski you have a bit more of a wider stance becuase your more square most of the time. When you ride your on your side a lot, so its harder to balance.

Anyways, I have a palmer year 2000 board up for sale. Got an American flag on the bottom and shiznit. Size 8 Burton freestyle boots, and burton bindings.

ive been snowbarding since i knew what a mountain was. i have a jenyus board extremly light. i go up to holiday valley new york all the time in the winter. i can do pretty much all the grabs. i can do a 180, 360, and 540's (but dont land them all the time). for grinding i can do 50,50, boardslide, and backboardslide. and flatliner. skiboarding is the **** dude i do that sometimes to.

ya except i was the other way around...i went from racing to skiboarding lol.

im sure this year i will get back into normal skiing cuz its sumthign i havnt done in 2 years. The place i got to is wide...so it has a decent amoutn of trails...just so freakin short. As for the skiboards being slow...ya they arnt anything compaired to my 210 cm salomons lol...but i can actually pretty easily keep up wit all my friends (on groomed sno that is lol) The skiboards i got (line Five-0) are extra wide...so it compensates the surface area for being short...however i like them alot for just screwin around...doing fakie manuals down the trails are fun as hell and tough (backwards and lean forward so u get up on the tips of the skis) to get down....

I guess thats wat boredom brings u....i just dont understand the hate for Skiboards....skis go faster yes...but they are no where near as agile as skiboards....u can ****en cut hard wit skiboards just cuz they are so small and light.

either way i ski and skiboard...ive been doin it for about 9 years now...started in new hampshire (thast where i got good) then moved to ohio and have been goin to this **** hill since.
