Apex could be kind of neat if you play long woodsball games on big fields. However even in that situation, an Apex on a cocker is not a good idea. Cockers are one of the few guns where a barrel kit is more or less essential.

Other guns besides cockers are cocker threaded too
Yah... most guns are actually cocker threaded now a days.

As for the JJ, I have no idea I'm afraid, don't have any experiences with them. Check out the Empire kit tho if you can even find it, they're very inexpensive and pretty good.

Im not real sure how the apex works, but you "tune" it in to shoot a curve and keep fine tuning it until you hit your target. Now, I may be wrong, but if i want my balls to curve i will just go out and buy some walmart paint. :p

I think its a good idea, but then again not so good.

There's some sort of bumper at the end of the barrel that the ball brushes up against as it exits the barrel, making it spin. You can adjust how much the bumper protrudes into the barrel, thus adjusting the severity of the spin/curve, and you can adjust in which direction it spins (left, right, down, or up which would just make it go further like a flatline).
