I just wanted to put up a mini review sense there are soooo many threads asking about the velocity with the boost modifications and all that good stuff. I just recieved it so i havnt had the time to throughly test everything but i will do a Full review with it on/gun and video's once i recieve my gun back.

To start things off david was really nice to talk to and kept me updated. The actual process of the battery and chip upgrades only took him 1 day, how-ever the custom shells do require a bit of time as SPO does there shells in "runs" and are not pre-made at this time so its on order basis. Either way i had this baby back in 2-3 weeks. If you want just the battery/hopper mods im sure you would get it back within a week'.

The hopper came very, very well packaged in its own nice little Custom Boost box which is full of nice padding. The charger also came nicely wrapped'.

Id also like to add before i post test results that this hopper can be fully charged within 30 minutes. The default setting with the boost chip is set to 3 and the settings then run 1-5. There is 0 noise/pre-feed at 1 and the higher up the stronger it gets as did it originally'. Also i havnt had a chance to test he case/life of 1 charge but there web-site and there personal test results show 4-5 cases per charge.

Another note i would like to add is the whole BPS delima between all these hoppers and all these vs threads. Im sure you all know what im talking about, that board can do 32bps, well that can do 38bps blah blah blah, you"ve all read and heard the hype. Ill be usuing this hopper for scenario and speedball but one of the main advantages of this hopper over others for speedball is the pre-feed/force feed system. Its about more "out of the gate" speed. Yes a halo w/cheetah board might reach insane bps half way through the hopper but when snap-shooting its slow off the line'. Where the velocity is basically hauling *** all the way through so when you snap shoot or wanna fire alot of paint in a short burst...you can. Basically what im saying is it dosnt need to "build" speed.

In my quick testing i used cheap stinger paintballs, tried all settings with no jams, no broken paint, or any other non-sense'.

I sent my stock velocity hopper into david @ boost custom and had the following modifications done.

750 mah boost battery pack upgrade w/direct port charging
Boost Chip Upgrade
Carbon fiber Velocity Shell

On a side note this version of the carbon fiber shell is one of many different "styles" how-ever i believe this is the first 1 made of this style. Im actually going to be going with a different version carbon fiber shell to match my gun a bit better. This looks really nice and slick how-ever my gun is actually custom Carbon Fiber itself so ill be going with a directional weave carbon fiber style velocity hopper. Ill be sending this back in a few weeks after more testing and so fourth to get the other style carbon fiber pattern shell'.

The hopper holds 185 stinger paintballs, and thats without completing cramming the hopper to where it needs to un-jam itself before loading'. Obviously size/holding numbers will vary depending on paint size etc. Also this was hopper only, no filling the feedneck bs or anything like that'.

setting 3 which is default setting. Setting 3 is the all around "best performance/battery consumption" setting. Which is why it is the default once you turn the hopper on.

Setting 3:
185 paintballs/ 5 seconds= 37bps free-fall
185 paintballs/ 5.5= 31.8 free-fall

I re-did the test about 15-20 times and every time on setting 3 the hopper average 5-5.5 seconds. 5.5 seconds being the longest time'

Please note that when i stop the clock during the test it was when it ran out of paint, how-ever there was sometimes 1 ball left bouncing around....this is typical

I will be doing a more complete review with cases per/charge and cases per charge vs which force settings 1-5 and bps on marker etc. BPS on marker tends to vary depending on marker, my gun is completely custom and completely aftermarket so the only limit to its bps will be the hopper. So ill definately be able to max it out with paint on marker. Ill make some videos for goldwave, more pictures, more information and so fourth.

And here are some pictures off gun. Like i said, will give more info, results, pictures, videos and so fourth once i get my gun back which will be in about 1 week. Ill also be doing comparison videos against stock halo, v35 halo, cheetah halo and so fourth when i get a chance.

On a side note, please do not whore my thread with ignorance or arguments on boards, hoppers, fasion etc. no board or chip arguments. For those who have been around and done actual testing im sure you"ve noticed that actual BPS/Speed is different then what most Hopper manufacters actually Advertise. I wrote this small review to answer some questions that are asked several times a day not to start a Vs thread or Velocity runs the world thread. Just posting my results, my testing and results and my experience with the whole thing. Also, im not a photographer, my camera sucks, i took quick pictures to give you the idea, you want better pictures then send me a camera or wait until my full review in a week or so with videos and all the rest'.

Also, if any-one is interested in any Boost-Custom Products drop me a pm as if you order through Dave and mention my name he will give you a better deal then the usual.
