Im going to mov this to PBC after my post. Anyway as far as materials go. This is what i would do.

Garbage cans work very very well for bunkers. Kmart ussually sells them for a cheap price. I would buy from there. If that dosnt tickle your fancy then maybe just setting up some wooden boards.

Like 5 or 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide boards. Bury them one foor deep and your set. Or you could just go with the 4'x4's and have something holding them up.

The trashcan Idea costs a little to much I think and someone could potentially steal them. So I dont reccomend it as much.

But the wooden boards would work well (tounge twister)
does it really matter? his question got awnsered.
we had the exact same problem what we did was have everybody put in like 20 bucks then we went out and bought plywood and old junk barrels we cut them in replicas of the last tourney field we played they are held up w/ metal stakes driven into the ground and bolted to the boards in then if people come and play on it we charge em 5 bucks for a day and that pays for upkeep and everythng
One usefull trick: make a cut in the tires so that you can pull them appart and wrap them around trees. Incorporate as many trees as possible into bunkers, so you can eliminate trees as tiny obstacles you can't even hide behind.

Also, check out your local supermarkets. A lot of times, they leave empty wooden loading pallets behind the stores (in the loading areas). They're generally gonna get thrown out anyways.
its not listed, but get some sandbags, 3.50 a bag
I used tile, straw bails and pallets on my course.
pallets are probley the cheapest thing u can get, places like food lion just give them away, pick up 20 or 30 and ur set. upkeep is next to nothing and there sturdy plus easy to stack

That would cost so much. Just think of one bunker.
Or just grab some burlap sacks and dig out a trench- then use the dirt from the trench to fill the bags. A bit labor intensive, but it gives you a kind of step-down bunker.

Nope they reuse them

Where do you get sandbags?
home depot? canadian tire?
We used wood, and made the basic outline of the bunker, then stapled a couple layers of heavy duty plastic to it, works great..
dood go to e-sandbag(s?).com and i bought 100 sandbags for 28 bucks and they work awesome!!!!!!get some tires or barrels or even take four 2x4s and nail them in the ground. then wrap tarps around it. or u can make cheapo 2x4 frames and make"INFLATABLE" bunkers by wraping tarps around those
