Never thought id post in here...heh...

Anyways, i have an 01 Xterra, got it a few months ago, and over all its a very nice car. The only thing that bugs me is that A) Radio reception is horrible, like i GET it, its just very sketchy, i can understand what song it is, its just, idk you gotta hear it. B) the speakres are always crackling, even on low volume. C) Its not loud, like at all, turned up all the waty it doesnt even shake the rear view mirror.( i dont need like insane sub power, just something with some shakeage ya know?)

So bascially, I want to know what i can get to fix preferably all of these problems.

Thanks! thumup:

A) The Antenna cable may not have a good connection to the back of the radio, you may want to check that. If not there may be some sort of Amplifier you can get for the antenna idk but Pierced would. BC) The speakers are probably just crappy speakers. If you wanted nice sound with a little bass you might want to get 4 new speakers and an amp for them. A friend of mine just got all new pioneer speakers and a pioneer amp and it sounds awesome. Good sound with a little bass but not as much as subs.

problem A

i would get an amplifer for you antennea BB or CC should have em for around 20 buxs or so

problem B

upgrade your speakers get a nice set of mids Polk Audio makes very nice stuff and wont rape your wallet and pick up a 4ch amp for em you can get one for around 100 bux that will do what you need

but it sounds like your speakers are blown or your headunit is fixing to go out and that could be the root of all your problems

if you can pull the pannels off and check out your speakers and see how they look and lightly push on them if they gind they are gone get some new ones

I think you now have an excuse to buy some decent audio ;). Go for a good HU and you can go with full range speakers all around and amp it or if you really want some nice mids-highs, get components up front.
