Hey,
I'm pretty new to paintball, got hooked at a friends, and am planning on getting a Tippmann A-5 assault package gun. I want to get some very cheap paint that I can just shoot at a tree in my back yard with out wasting a ton of money. I saw the RPS Stinger paintballs, but heard that they bounce alot. I then saw the JT Fluid Hydro's, but their $40, and for that much, I would much rather pay $45 for the Paintball nation Beast paintballs that I will get so that I can play at a field.
I understand that this is confusing so here are the main ideas.
1) I will be buying 1-2 cases of premium paint for use at fields and the like.
2) I want to find cheap paint that I can use just when I feel like shooting off some rounds, I would like this to be preferably under $35 for 2,000. All I need in them is that they don't chop and explode on contact.
Thanks!!!

I believe when most people say they bounce, they mean off people. You'd have to pretty much shoot bouncy balls to get something to bounce off trees. Maybe it happens, but I've never seen it.

Who told you stingers bounce?
I got some dxs silver last weekend and after a hour or two they were so bad. Stepped on some and it wouldn't break. While I had some stingers left from a awhile back and they were still pretty nice. It was pretty hot that may be why...

Once you see most of the more "experienced players" buy paint for rec ball/practice/fun, they usually get some of the cheaper stuff so they can shoot more and spend less.

RPS Stingers are amazing for the price, I use them all the time.
The RPS Stinger that you get from ACADEMY are also amazing for the price, but they're second string. Much cheaper, but also not as good.

I only really get good stuff if I'm playing an important skrim or playing a big game, like a scenario or tournament

NEVER get MonsterBall, that stuff is terrible, either rock hard and football shaped or soft, squishy and football shaped. There's another paint brand that I've seen that's basically the same as MonsterBall, I'll have to go back to Academy and see what it is.

When I buy from big retail stores, I always open up the box and inspect the paint by hand myself, so I always know I'm getting the best I can possibly get

I know that when I used to buy from dicks there where some opened ones and a guy passed me while I did it. Idk about walmart.

I picked up some "Visible Impact" from walmart. A small percentage is dimpled, but they will be for woodsball and I don't really care. What I'm worried about is the fact that you can kinda see the pink fill through the yellow shell. Is that bad? Does it mean they are more likely to break in my gun?

Not really. Just don't over chrono. But dry them out using a towel or something, it'll make them a tad better.

For practice shooting, I would just get some assorted paintballs like these or these.
Thats the biggest scam, for 2,000 rounds it is 12*4=48 bucks. why not buy premium paint for that amount?
Of these four paintballs, which is the best?
The first one, $33, Black Market White Box Paintballs - 2000 Rounds - Blue Shell / Orange Fill at ActionVillage.com : Paintball
The second one, $30, DXS Rainbow Paintballs - 2000 Rounds - Assorted at ActionVillage.com : Paintball
The third, $33, Karnage Bite Paintballs - 2000 Rounds - Green Shell / Yellow Fill at ActionVillage.com : Paintball
The Last, $32, White Box Paintballs - 2000 Rounds - Orange Fill at ActionVillage.com : Paintball
Of these four, which is the best? Will they chop alot in my Tippmann? Thanks!

With those, i'd go with karnage...I dont like whiteboxes even though they CAN be decent. For $2 I think you can go with RPS stingers.

You could try Conquest paintballs, their pretty decent paintball and fairly cheap (30 bucks)I get them from Fleet Farm and havent had any problems with Conquest paint yet.

Can you give me a link for them? Thanks. Also, should I get the White Box or the Stingers? I have basically gotten a different answer from every poster(not a bad thing), so can I get a more definitive answer, I would really like to buy the cheapest good paint.
Thanks alot for helping out a noob =D

I always like buying local rather than online for paintballs

I can always manualy check the quality of the paint myself if it's right infront of me

Ok, but if I was to buy online, which is best for the price?
Also on a unrelated note, where could I refill a CO2 tank aside from the paintball field?
Thanks.
