ok i am new to paintball and i just bought my friends tippmann 98 from him.
it has a dye ultralight barrel, nitro tank, viewloader evo II, and a double/response trigger. my worrry is that since im new, do you think this might chop paint(alot,a little)? if it does, i dont know how to clean it up. Do i disessemble the gun?
i just need a little help from some good samaritan paintballers that have been there and done that. any help is greatly appreciated
note: if it makes a difference, the tippmann has been used but only a little and is in good condition and rather new

yes you have to take it apart to clean it, and i can guarantee you it'll chop at least once... not saying it'll do it all the time, but as long as you keep it clean, it'll keep the chopping to a minimum. just browse the tippy forum, and find a couple of the articles that show you things you can do to keep your tippmann in good working order. definitely check out the sticky's at the top of this forum, more specifically this one

with any kind of questions. also do a search of this forum before you post about any technical questions about your tippy. a lot of people will start to get kind of short with you if you ask a question that's been asked over and over again. hopefully you can find what you need here and good luck!

ALSO: instead of double or even triple posting, you can use the EDIT button in the lower right hand side of your original post... that way you dont clutter up the database with unneeded posts...

if you purchased a bolt for your tippy, all you have to do is remove the old one and put in your new one. simple as that. you have to know how to take your gun apart and work with it well first though otherwise you're gonna start losing things and putting things back together wrong... just do a little research before you go ripping it in half :)

If you chop with it. Just open the litter door on the side. Clean out as best you can. Shoot a couple times without balls. Clean barrel with jerk sqeeqie. Keep playing. If you have a Evo II you won't chop much if any.
