so i just used my aci maverick for the first time on saturday January 8th.

my first and i guess most important question is, what kind of feed elbow do i need?

i got one that says 32 DEGREES ASCOOLASICE (<< lol ascoolasice? i have no idea what that means) and it was too small. i have a Dremel and i dremeled it out until it was like paper thin and it fits but it's extremely tight and i can't get it quite all the way on (but most of the way) and i'm worried it'll break or something because it's so thin. can someone point me toward a bigger one?

other question...

i was getting double feeds. the marker doesn't let you double cock which works great. but the problem is this... even if your paint is big enough so that it doesn't roll through the barrel. it will still role around right in front of the bolt. get what i mean? pull the pump back to get the bolt back to let a ball fall in. that ball rolls foreward until it hits the barrel, which is too small for the ball to continue rolling. now there is space for a second ball to fall in. as a result i had to tilt the marker up when i cocked.

what kinda paint should i use?

EDIT: took out some stuff to shorten it

You probably aready have since right now it's the post below yours. :D

For elbows, there are two sizes, 3/4" (.75) and 1" (1.00). I have two Mavericks, one of each. I take it you got a 1", they are pretty common and usually come free with a VL 200 hopper.

elbow get an adjustable one or try copper elbows at your hardware store. For the double feeding, you can actually add a layer or 2 on top of each other in strips of electrical tape in the end of the barrel that gets screwed in. thumup:

I stuck a folded-up piece of paper under the ball detent spring, and now it works perfectly. I'd reccemend this over Electrica ltape, as It appears less "Ghetto", and generally works better.
