Hey!

I noticed after shooting reballs and whatnot with my VS2.5 that one of my rubber ball detents tore...
The stock detents are made of some thin crappy rubber, and tear quite easily, to my dismay

So, I decided to make my own detents!
These use metal ball bearings and a spring and will never blow out, wear out, or break in any way!
(It's the gold-ish things on the sides)

This mod should should work in the VS1, and WILL work in all VS2's, VS3's, RS's, and RSX's
I have yet to try with the 08/09 Electra and Pilot, or the MR series

If anyone would like to send their gun in to me so I can installing the detents (08/09 Electra and Polit and MR series), I can give you free upgrade detents as long as you try them out for me!
:D

I guess I can do these for other people if there is interest in it, but some minor body modification is required
You need to drill out the stock detent hole with an 11/64 drillbit for the ball bearings to seat properly, otherwise they don't even reach the breech

Will get a video when I get more air

Cool ! Keep us informed ! I would shoot my electra if I lived in US, but shipping it through boarders only for detents is risky in my opinion...

But I'm really interested in your project ;)

HA!
It's been a while, but I just tested it out in the back yard!

Got some super brittle paint that's been sitting in the fridge, loaded up my Pinokio, and shot a full hopper (small nose attached)
Zero breaks, no double feeds, and never skipped a beat!
I'd call this a success! Now I will never have to replace the detents, or worry about tearing the stock rubber ones when shooting reballs!

:)

Might make a video this week, we'll see

Well, I haven't made a video, and I've ran into some problems

After some extensive use, the ball bearings that I was using (.177 cal bb's) began to wear down and one got shot out
They began to corrode and go out of round

I ordered some brand new steel chromium alloy precision ground ball bearings and now things are rolling again
:)

As soon as I get my custom Spyder bolt done, I'll definately post a video
:p
