When i go into the snake i really need to superman sometimes, but i cant bring myself to do it because i just feel like im going to dive and get the wind knocked out of me or somethin, or mayb just hurt landing on my stomach. Is there any special way you guys do iy so you dont go PLOP on your stomach?

if u can just do a legfirst slide early to get down and then army crawl it works at our feidls snake but it might b diff at your place

Make sure you have arm/knee pads for this, or it might hurt. I dont use em, but my knees are always rug-burned up from the indoor field. You dont wanna "jump" and then land. Basically what you want to do is this:

*off the break run to where you need to go. Dont run high, run low (as always)
*When you get about five feet from the snake, come even lower
*Finally when youre right in front of it, you wanna extent your arm that is holding your gun and dive, not jump foreward (lol you have me practicing this in my living room)
*you wanna land on your forearm kindof with your gun up, so it doesnt hit the ground. Then bring down your other arm and extend it as your sliding and gradually bring down your stomach and legs. You may feel more comfortalbe bringing a leg down with your left arm too.

Sliding really only works with sand, dirt, indoor paintball carpet and grass sometimes. Not good for living room carpets. Im sorry if that sounded kinda confusing but its really hard to explain. Mainly remember that you dont wanna jump, but dive parallel to the ground, really close to the ground rather. And keep out your forearm to break your fall. Try this in stages, dont just go for it, I dont wanna see you in the lounge with a "so I broke my arm diving" title in your thread. :D

you can practice in your backyard at first just superman without you gun. then after youve done that awhile use your gun without your tank,barrel,hopper. the do it with your gun and your tank then your gun tank and barrel then gun tank barrel and hopper. this is how i learned. also play paintball with trees with your friens use the trees as bunkers and dont think about it when you dive just do it.

stay on ur feet as long as u can.... just kind sink ur shoulders down until u have to leave ur feet..... u will get more and more comfortable doin this until its easy.

also, dont slide strait on ur stomach, slide KIND OF on ur side. dont be completly on ur side, just kind of. u slide farther on ur side cuz there is less friction, and it dosnt hurt as much cuz its not directly on ur stomach

Just do what master of paint said. I learned some Judo while i was learning take tae kwon do, so i learned how to dive and fall and roll without hurting myself or getting the wind knocked outta me. So i would suggest maybe taking a crasg course in Judo? If you do not wanna do that, just practice in on ur lawn, or when u in a p-ball war just try to stay on ur feet or knees as long as u can.

if your in hte heat of the moment u wont even think about it and the adrenalin wil b pumpin so if u do hurt yourself you wont feel it till later lol

if your holding the gun with your right hand .. run low get loower when u get closer dont jump .. youse your right forearm as your sliding support and if your afraid of hurting your stomache lean to the left a little bit and pu more pressur eonto the arm

so your almost totally sideways

Wow. From my experience if you do it the way everyone is telling you to do it, you don't slide far, if at all.

I just jump and go for it, I slide at least 5 feet. Land on your elbows, not you chest. Sometimes I land on my chest and bruise my ribs.

The price you have to pay to play some tight ass paintball.

EDIT: You still have to get low, but instead of coming from almost on your knees into a slide you just gotta dive into it, therefore putting *ALL* of your weight into the dive, which makes you slide fast as crap.

yeah, i know i dont go anywhere unless the grass is wet if i just run lower and lower untill i end up laying down, what i do is pretty much everything master of paint said, except right as im about to go down for the slide, i push off with my legs and just stay parralel to the ground and lessen the fall with hands and elbows and knees

doesnt look to perty but it gets the job done

you can slide on your knees if you dont like to dive. or you can do a baseball slide. i dont always like to do a superman dive either but i just dont think about it.

I do half kneeslides half powerslides. But I can do supermans and its pretty easy, just stay low until you're about 8 feet from your bunker and then jump pretty much as far forward as possible you wanna be at max like 1.5 to two feet above the ground. Then you wanna land everywhere but your stomach which you can do by slightly tilting to one side and you want to keep your arms in front of you not under you. The key is not to jump really high, you wanna stay low and have it be when someone trips you while you're running fast.

ya i mean most of the time i gotta slide i just do a popup slide so i can get my gun rollin asap

ummm ya slide in your house, i do it but i tore up the carpet on one part..... the rents dont know yet.

you want to dive EARLY. theres not point in diving when youre already to your bunker. the whole point of a dive is to get as low as possible to minimize the chance of getting hit. so dive slightly before your bunker and then get in as fast as you can....

right when youre about to dive, push hard off from one foot to get power and distance... you dont need to jump high. just flat and straight. put your arms/elbows out and just go. like they said, dont think about it. youll eventually get to the point where its automatic and it just happens on its own
