****, I haven't had a smoke in 2 weeks. Nobody here knows me in person but I smoke heavy as ****. And still do, but not the regular ****.

Anyone else use this stuff? Got an expensive one, and it's dandy.

depends on the person. my co-worker tried it, didn't work for her.

if you smoke purely (mostly) for the habit of it, then they'll help. but if you smoke for the nicotine kick, they're useless
With my setup and the e-juices I buy I get satisfied and then some. Smoked a pack a day for the past 5 years, been smoking for about a decade. I have my heavy nic juices for my work day and lighter nic content juice for chilling at home/ drinking. It's working fantastic so far. Hopefully this becomes the norm, I hope more smokers get into higher end vapes. At the same time I hope there isn't a study that comes out saying this kills you faster. LOL.

I'm not sure how they work exactly, but I do know heating ceramic and inhaling isn't good at all. A couple vapes I know of use ceramic plates, but I'm not familiar with the cig vapes.

I'm thinking about taking advantage of my works quit smoking program. Free gum and patches, etc. I don't smoke a pack a day though, usually 10 cigs, more when I drink. I don't do it for anything but the habit of it nowadays. I guess there's the social aspect too, but meh. It's been a nuisance for a while now.

I'm actually a recent quitter (well.. recent enough to be called 'recent' with enough time to consider myself 'quit'.

Started at 19 on 2-3 smokes a day, quit at 26 on 1-1.5 packs and a tin of snus. I've dipped long cut, substituted smokes for dip...quit dip for smokes...basically if it had nicotine in it, I was allll over it. I did it for the 'rush' and the mellow that came with the territory.

Tried gum. Didn't work for me. Something about having to resort to 'acting' on a craving instinct didn't work. I found myself watching the clock, counting minutes for the next piece.

The patch has no physical involvement... so I found myself tapping it every so often to get a burst from it. I found I also had to stick it in a place that I wasn't able to readily hit, contact, or sit on... that wasn't a typical sweat area... yeah. It got complicated. The area also becomes irritated, so you have to have enough square inch-age to move it around and let the skin heal. Being a big guy with broad shoulders helped immensely. Also - when you come to the end of a patch cycle and are getting ready to step down - they made me hella nauseous.

What ended up working for me - was taking a 3 day trip with a non-smoking friend. I started the patch the week before. I was getting the nausea symptoms while on the trip. I got tired of waking up first thing in the morning, showering - slapping a patch on.. and then feeling sick 20 minutes later. I stopped using the patch... gnawed on tooth picks for awhile, and life has been wonderful since. I can actually run a whole mile and my lungs and body won't be crying....for any reason other than me being out of shape. (damn winter weather)

Guess my TL;DR point is - you'll quit if you have the 100% desire to do so. Until that point, thoughts of quitting will be nothing more than delays between cigarettes. The stop-smoking aids help..but this is mostly a mental battle.

Stopped September 4, 2010. Haven't touched it since.

EDIT - HUGE DISCLAIMER - Do not sleep in the patch. Usually I look at warning labels and laugh because side effects include rectal bleeding, anal leakage, and projectile vomiting. This label included Night terrors and vivid dreams. Tempting fate, I slept in the patch. Boy....the adhesive + nicotine + whatever it is that you get that causes this crap...sure worked well. There are just some things you wish you could un-see.

I actually use ecigs now, and they work well for me! Can get different levels of nic and flavors that are very tasty. On top of all that, you don't walk around smelling like an ashtray

I'm using the Halo G6, and really liking it
