Info that I know

They will be open in about 2 weeks, they have a 285 fps chrono limit, and their rental guns consist of the BT4 and Spyder Pilots. They have two paintball fields. An urban course and an indoor speedball field. Also they will eventually hold airsoft matches. That's all I know, but here's their website www.escapesonomacounty.com/live/.

Looks like they have already gone out of business. I was there yesterday, the day before, and 3 days before and it is all closed. You can never reach anyone on the phone. There is grafitti all over the exterior walls. Parking lot is vacant. Too bad. It looked like a lot of fun.

I had been there when they first opened back in April and it was really active, but even then, it seemed like there wasn't really a plan for the business. It just seemed kind of like they got the keys to the building (HUGE PLACE) and just started shooting paint.

another thought

Another thought too... it seems like the airsoft idea might work in a big city, but Sonoma county just seems way too small to support an airsoft arena. There just doesn't seem to be that many players around there.

Also, most paint players I come across say they go into the local woods to save money and prefer playing outdoors. I dunno.

Well I talked to an employee at a Petaluma PBall shop and he told me that they were going to LEGALLY open in two weeks. Actually, I know tons of airsofters, and all of my PBall friends hate woodsball. That shop in Petaluma sells paint for escape by the way.

Excellent

Excellent. Glad to hear they will still be around. It just seemed so odd to have opened for 2 months and then close for a while. But it's good that they are going to be open again. It just looked so deserted around there that I thought they were gone for good. I didn't know there were so many airsofters out there, but that's also good news. Thanks for the headsup about their re-opening.

Your welcome, also, why would they spend money on a sign that they weren't going to use? Remember, I'm not positive about they're re-opening, 13 outfitters in Petaluma just said that they were. Anyway, I really hope they open so I don't have to go all the way to American Canyon to go paintballing.

Opening Soon...

Sorry about the delay and the problems we have come across. ESCAPE was open for 2 months doing "safety training" and "equipment checks". We are finished with those and now we are finishing up with some repairs and other minor work required by the city. That all should be done by June 30th. After that we have 1 final inspection from the city and we will be open. If all goes well we will be open that first week or weekend in July.
We will have our 2 paintball fields completely operational. Airsoft and laser tag will use another section of the facility which won't be open until August. We have to still do a lot of work for those. So please tell one and tell all that ESCAPE is back in the first week of July. Hope to see you all there!

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Awesome!

I'm really happy to hear that you guys will be open soon! I was wondering if you guys need a fire inspection or just an over all building inspection? Also, will you guys be having any sort of junior tournaments? Hopefully I'll be playing there every week!

Almost open...

The final inspection is an overall building inspection to make sure everything meets code. We won't be having any tournaments but we will be having leagues. And their will be junior leagues, adult leagues for all skill levels. We look forward to having you at our facility as often as possible. We enjoy seeing people have a good time at our facility. See you soon!

I just visited Escape today as their first customer, and I was very impressed with the facility and fields. Their speedball field was spectacular and their urban course was fun. The staff is VERY VERY knowledgeable and friendly towards customers and they make sure that you always have variety as far as games. The admission prices are very good, the cost of paint is normal (of course), and you get about 4-6 games in a little less than an hour. Altogether, I was very happy with Escape and I WILL be returning VERY soon.
