When I turn it on, it just emits one, high-pitched beep that continues until you shut it off. The motor can be spun if I push it with my finger and some force, but it won't spin on its own.
What's the deal?
Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't it eye operated? Or is it constant feed? It's possible that the eyes are just dirty and may be need to be cleaned. I'd give the entire thing a nice cleaning. Otherwise, it's possible the motor may be dead and needs replacing. I've had my share of Eggs with dying motors.
well, if it were the eye, I doubt it would be making any sound at all...
...and that may be the case. Some paint somehow (?????) got all over the inside the hopper, including the motor...I think the water in it has shorted something (motor, board, or both).
