Starting a new tread as I am finding out more about the problem. My fenix worked perfectly the last time used, untill I cleaned, oiled, and put away for about two years of inactivity. When I took it back out this past weekend it worked for a little while (maybe 50 balls), then the striker stopped releasing. Basically when it is cocked, the gun clicks as the coil plunger tries to hit the seer, but not with enough power to release the striker. I opened the grip and you can see the plunger trying to release the seer, but not enough. What I tried so far:
-Recharged batteries
-Tried new batteries
-Oiled the system again
-Backed off the pressure on the spring to lowest setting

It seems like any of the below is happening:
-Seer is hung up or too stiff, but it moves freely when not engaged to striker
-magnetic coil is too week to release seer, but not sure exactly what king of hit should be needed.
-magnetic coil is not getting enough power from board.

Any experience with this problem would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to stay away from hit or miss part replacement, resulting in spending the same money if I just went to buy a new gun.

Is the capacitor the black plastic coated thing, or is it the silver plunger thing. So let me run through this. The capacitor builds up charge (black thing) then releases it to the selenoid (silver thing) when you pull the trigger. So in this senerio the capacitor needs replacing? If so is this something I can get and replace? I am pretty good at this type of light soldering and retrofit, if capacitor is available.
