xxx Guys i have recently bought a Tippmann A-5. I've played with this gun for months now and i have had no luck with the Flatline barrel or the Cyclone Feed System. The Flatline barrels breaks balls and it is also unaccarate, yes thats correct inaccurate. The barrel is good for only about 50 feet i can set a target up 65 feet away and shoot 100 balls at it and never hit it. Its the worse barrel ive ever played with , i also have a True Flight 22" barrel, its also awful , in fact its worse than the flatline, beleive it or not the most impressive barrel for my A-5 is the **** stock barrel, What a surprise! Also about the cyclone feed system, i dont like it, it barely gets the balls into it, my cosuin ran at me the other day with 50 yards of open ground i shot about 70 times and out of those 70 times only 23 balls came out. Geese its awful hearing someone make somthing better than what it really is. This hopper bust balls like crazy ball after ball, and it takes forever to clean the F'ing hopper. I also own a 98 custom. This is the best gun i've ever played with , i have a 14" PMI barrel ,it ROCKS THE HOUSE. This barrel has never busted a ball and is very accurate. I can blast my friends from 250 feet away, yeah amagine, its peer OWNAGE. If anyone is wondering what gun they should get, its the 98 Custom. If anyone has any tips for tuning my hopper or flatline barrel plz let me know.

i have heard that it takes time to adjust the flatline to where itll shoot good, and if you dont get it to that good point itll be complete crap. loL you bought a 22 inch barrel, thats way too big. why dont you just use your pmi barrel on your a-5

You dont need to adjust the flatline on an A-5 it locks in one place only...

Anyways.. if you dont like the flatline sell it, and with the money buy a J&J, and you should have better luck.

Maybe you've installed your cyclone feed wrong, because mine almost never breaks a ball, even when shooting 15 bps... so i cant help you there.

I have a A5 and a flatline and just went out and played yesterday. Never broke a ball and players were getting pissed because their shots were only making it half way to me and mine were hitting them. Cyclone is a pain to clean but never had it bust a ball niether. Maybe its just bad luck on your part?

It comes installed on the A-5. As for the flatline not shooting right, make sure you are using higher grade paintballs and try lowering your velocity. I have an a5 with a flatline and its shoots good with its velocity around 280, anything higher and the balls start to curve like none other.
Your hopper is a tough one. I have never chopped a ball or had any problem with the cyclone feed. Tippmann did change the feeder though, make sure there is an A stamped on the bottom of it. If there isn't you have the old style and will need to contact Tippmann to get it replaced.
