Would you play paintball while riding in a go kart with a mounted paintball gun?

Wouldn't it be awesome to mount paintball guns to go karts and have a paintball war?

Right? Luckily for you my friend, me and my friends are trying to set this up and its great to have some supporters of our idea.

I know there are others who have definitely thought of doing this and some people who have done it, but only in their own backyard.

Depending on the carts, you'd need to have the guns set to ~250 fps. Since most carts can go like 30 mph or so, you need to leave a little extra leeway for safety.

Also, need to use high quality masks so that you have sufficient peripheral vision to avoid wrecking the carts because you can't see what's near you.

These are the 2 things that immediately jump out at me. However, beyond that, I think it would be fun, ecspecially if they were gas carts instead of the electric ones (just not a fan of the electric ones, not sure why).

the big problem is insurance, you need a helmet for the go-karts but a mask for the paintball, i really doubt any insurance company would come within a mile of insuring a business that runs like this

not to mention, the more I think about it, the more it sounds like a bad idea. along the lines of night paintball, everyone loves running around playing hide and seek at night in the woods, everyone also loves paintball so you would think the two together would be great but they are not, it sucks.

just a few things I can think of off the top of my head

-getting shot in the back/head if you are in the lead, this is also a safety concern for the masks since you would have people firing essentially into the openings on the masks

-paint on a track = very very slick for go-karts

-distracted driving anyone? shooting and driving at the same time

I would assume that there would be two people in one kart at a time.

so if you have the 2 seat go-karts with the high seats and roll bars, you cant shoot the other people if you are behind them, only when they are going around corners and even then your only target is the back of their head/neck and shoulder area, basically right in line to get a paintball in behind a mask

if you built these karts for the purpose, enclose the driver/passenger so they can not be shot from the back at least and if you built something into them where if a target gets hit the kart will slow down for say 5 seconds, then this could be fun, shooters would not be aiming at other shooters or drivers, you would take the risk of injury from the paintballs almost completely out of it. you would still have to deal with a slick track but I could see this being doable at least

Trbo, I don't think they plan to race them, Mario kart style. More like a deathmatch.

I could be wrong, but that's how I take the wording since they never mention racing and say arena instead of track.

Also, I would mount the gun to the steering system somehow. That way you shoot where you were aiming and used buttons on the steering wheel to shoot. Wouldn't be that hard to set up.
