Who do you guys think is going to win the battle and why? I'm siding with hd seeing as blu ray just lost disney and paramount.

It will be interesting to say the least. One of the biggest flaws I have with Blu Ray is that to get so much data on the disc there is hardly nothing protecting the data. The slightest scratch causes disk problems. This can be fixed, but it's a tough task.

Consumers will pay anything for a product if the marketing is good enough. However, I don't see this happening with Blu Ray, and it seems like they are losing ground. PS3 was handled very poorly by Sony, which is terrible because I love Sony & PS, and it could have been amazing.

But its expensive as a mother ****er, and if the consumer won't pay for it, then it can't sell.
i thought disk prices were the same.

Disc prices are the same. Player prices however are not. Hd dvd players are almost half the price of blu ray players. There has been talks about Sony getting rid of the blu ray player in ps3s. If this is done you can kiss blu ray goodbye.

Remember Sony Betamax vs. JVC VHS? VHS won. If history is doomed to repeat itself I think Sony will loose again. Thereby making HD-DVD the winner.

You never know though.

Actually Hd-dvd has most porn companies sided with it. Hahathumup:
oh. Haven't really been playing attention to the whole format war too closely.

Me and some friends got to thinking though...do you really want to see hi-def porn?
