Hello, I figured if I had questions on paintball this would be the place to sign up. I bought my equipment from a guy I know for 250 and have been going pretty much every weekend for around 2-3 months. The stuff I got from him is great but I cannot really identify most of the equipment so I was hoping if I could post pictures you could tell me what gun,barrel,tank, and hopper I had. Im pretty sure the roter is dye and the tank says pure energy on it so im good but I put up pic anyways. I have been told the gun is dye, proto, and then proto dye which is why I posted in the dye/proto section. I checked a websites dye and proto collection and my gun looks similar to those but without the name of the gun on the side, such as reflex. Heres the pics of my gun on imageshack.

And if anyone can, once you ID my gun if you know of a video to take that specific gun apart and clean it on youtube or anywere send me a link please. I have been taking apart everything but the inside bolt and stuff like that because im afraid to break it so I would rather watch a video. Also is there a difference between the grease and oil I put inside the gun. If so is there one I should use. Thanks for any help in advance.

that is a PMR (proto matrix rail) the hopper is a dye rotor, tank is a pure energy 68 (i cant tell the pressure from teh photos) and im not sure on the barrel

that marker needs grease, paintball grease. ill look around for a video in a bit

basically all you need to do for maintenance is take te bolt out, whipe it down and re-lube it. same thing with the regulator, the manual will tell you how to take apart both

The only guns I find on ansgear that there selling are the 2011 rail PMR and 2011 reflex rail so im asuming that my gun is a older model? I have grease, final soultion is the brand. Should I never use lube on my gun? All I need is for someone to help me out with the barrel and im good. And I cant seem to open the manual. What do I need to download to open it.

It's the Lucky Un1tech barrel, which is manufactured again by SOMEONE, not sure who, but it's what comes with Vanguard markers.

I looked though the proto matrix rails from 2007-2011 and found that they all have dye near the back, rail, or matrix. My gun has none of these. The grip and handle also looks different. Can you interchange the grip or frame of the gun? Still trying to figure out what year it is. As for the manual anyone know the name of the program that opens it.

do not use grease for a car on there. it is petrol based and will destroy it. you cannot run any petrol based lubes in your gun as it will eat the orings.

A car? Im assuming thats something inside the gun. So I should use lube instead of grease?

Just look up paintball gun oil on amazon.

I have final soultion grease so I can use that. Or should I use gun oil? What I mean is that every gun I see has the name of the gun, reflex, or the word Dye on it somewere like this gun 2011 Proto Reflex Rail Paintball Gun - Airforce My gun has neither its type or the word dye anywere. Maybe he took it off somehow but thats why it was hard for me to identify it because all the guns I looked at have a few small differences. Just really curious to figure out what year it is 2006-2011

YOU NEED PAINTBALL GREASE AND NOTHING ELSE, grease and oil are different, do not confuse them

this is a DOW 33 lubricant easy to find at a paintball shop

Alright ill just stick with the final soultion grease I got now. Im sure someone at my local field can tell me what year the gun is cause that is just bothering the hell out of me.

You have a PM7, it's actually not a PMR at all. This was a high end marker, true balanced spool valve that simply used a few cheaper parts than the DM series used. I had an oil slick version of it.

Trbo323 states PMR, while you claim PM7. Trbo after a closer look do you think its a PM7? Want everyone to be decided on one thing so I can be sure. Not doubting you tlmiller cause you both no more then me. I just want a few experienced people to agree on one gun so I can be sure what kind I got.
