This is important.

Please read.

I'm actually really scared for the 1st time in my life.

So the other day me and my friend were skating at the school and we dicded to go inside it.

And we got inside and walked towards the gym.

And the alrarm went off.

So we ran into the girls lockeroom and he pointed at a cell phone like he wanted me to take it.

So I did.

And we got outside and he found out i actually took it.

So we sat there arguing about what to do.

So I called my mom on my phone and told her to come pick us up.

After that some investigater guy came and asked us if we had been inside the school.

Like a smart kid, I said no. But he said yes.

So we went through the school and tried to make up a lie about how we found the phone sitting in the hall and took it trying to find out whos it was.

But then he threatened to look at the camera footage. So we told him what actualyl happened.

He strip searched us and cuffed us and took our stuff. And brough us out to the car.

And our parents came and we got fingerprinted and mug shots and stuff.

That's it.

And we have to go to court sometime.

What are the punishments for a 13 year old who stole a 35 dollar phone without dishonest intent and who has never been in front of a court of law before?

I just want to know what might happen and what the chances are.

Thanks for reading and responding.

Nothing will happen. You might get detention or ISS, but I doubt you'll be in any legal trouble (unless your court/police have nothing better to do).

If it was durring a time when the school was closed, you'll be in some trouble. If not, nothing bad should happen.

You're 13.. You're a minor.
Think about it.
I don't know about the states, but in Canada you'd be charged with Theft under $1000 and given community service, most likely without a criminal record. That's if you're 18. Don't worry about it.
Unless you yanks are crazy down there...

the best thing to do would be to tell the poliece what happened, and not lie to them. You'll usualyl get in less troubel that way

but since you didn't...

you won't be in too bad of shape. Peobalyl disliprinary action from your school at the worst.

my soccer team set off alarms constantly when we had to go take a crap. I remember at least 3 times when poliece came because we set off the alarms. they probalyl hated us for doing it all the time.

I'm thinking of calling shens on this one too.

If it is true.. probably just charged for theft >$500 if the owner wants to press charges. If that happens, diversion for probably 6 months.

Nothing big. Maybe even just community service with no charges or diversion.

Trust me you'll be fine. Hell my buddy got charged with possession and paraphenelia. He got diversion only because it was his first offense. Other friend went to jail for a few days.

lmao you don't get strip searched and fingerprinted and thrown in jail for grabbing a cell phone. now breaking and entering is an entirely different subject.

breaking and entering with intent to commit a crime is burglary (felony). without such intent, it is merely trespassing (misdemeanor). the "breaking" part is misleading, as just the act of pushing open a door that is ajar can be considered "breaking" in. so, if it can be proven that you unlawfully entered the building with intent to cause any kind of crime, whether it be theft, vandalism, rape, or ANYTHING, you're guilty of burglary and can be a convicted felon. if they can't prove you intended to commit a crime, you can be convicted of a misdemeanor. either way, you ****ed up. the cops probably went the whole nine yards with you to scare some sense into you. lucky for you you're a minor and it won't stick. just try not to do stupid **** again

No. lmao.

He just told us to take our shoes off and I classify that as stripping. My bad.

He patted us down and he touched my ass for a while. I was like wtf.

I talked to my buddy who actually goes to that school and he told me the cops said the chances of going to jail are pretty slim.

But we were also joking around in the back of the cop car.

And it took the stupid cop like 10 minits to take the cuffs off.

And we did get fingerprinted and mug shots.
The fingerprint stuff takes ages to wash off.

This was all ment to happen for a reason. He keep the fringerprint ink on and make up some really badass story about how u rebelled agianst the law. Tell it to all the girls and show em ur fingers. Instant labia... u may even get a few slutty 16 year olds.
